Master Strategy For RRB Office Assistants Exam

Our experts have suggested a master strategy for RRB Assistant exam. The strategy is designed for 3 months. Candidates are advised to follow it thoroughly.

Took a glance over the Syllabus and Exam Pattern

  • Before heading towards preparing the topics, take a glance at the exam pattern, syllabus and solve previous year questions as well.
  • By solving PYQs, you’ll get the overall idea of the difficulty level of questions in the exam. We have also provided a previous year analysis to help you know the important topics and the frequency with which it is asked in the exam.

Focus on completing the Important topics in the first Month

  • Choose scoring and important topics to practice and build basics, as they cover 50-60% of the examination.
  • Let’s say for quants, you should focus on completing simplification, number series, quadratic, easy DI sets and for reasoning, focus on syllogism, inequality, blood relation, direction, and alphanumeric series.
  • Use 20-20-1 rule means solve 20 quant questions, 20 reasoning questions and 1 DI/puzzles set. You can increase the number of questions gradually as you achieve 90% accuracy. One more thing is to try to solve these 45 questions in 45 minutes and check your accuracy.

Focus on speed and accuracy building as you move towards the second month

  • This is the peak time of your preparation journey; now is the time to pace up your question-solving.
  • What you can do is solve at least 50-60 questions of quants and reasoning every day. Again, choose the important topics from the above list. Why are we focusing on the number of questions? It will help you in building accuracy along with speed.
  • If you solve 50 questions from a particular topic, it is guaranteed that you will get all the concepts and tricks to solve the same.

Take mock tests and analyse them mindfully in the last month

  • It is the last month, and during this time, your full focus should be on taking a full-length mock test every day. But don’t just focus on taking the test, analyse the test results mindfully.
  • After each mock, analyse carefully which questions you wasted time on. Which topics do you always get wrong? Where can you increase speed?
  • Now adjust your preparation strategy and focus on those topics first where you miscalculated, but the approach to solving the questions is right. During the first 15 days of the month, you can focus on the weak spots, but don’t try to learn any new topic in the latter half of the month.

Use last week for Revision and rest

If you’ve followed the strategy till now, then it is time to prep with full enthusiasm, just solve a full-length mock and analyse it carefully. Try not to repeat the mistakes. Take rest before the day of the exam, as you’ve prepared well and will ace the exam with flying colours.
