Here are some tips to solve table-based DI easily. It will help you to score 70+ in the IBPS clerk exam.

  1. Read the question carefully
    Check whether it asks about total students, pass %, or marks above 90%.
  2. Use basic formulas
    • Passed = Appeared × (Pass % ÷ 100)
    • Scored >90% = Appeared × (% Above 90 ÷ 100)
    • Failed = Appeared – Passed
  3. Don’t do a full calculation unless needed
    If options are far apart, you can approximate and save time.
  4. Look for comparisons
    Pay attention when the question asks for differences or ratios, subtract or reduce correctly.
  5. Use a rough table/chart
