IBPS SO Mains Exam Pattern 2025
The Mains exam is fully focused on testing the professional knowledge or technical skills of the candidate for the specified posts. It has only one section that is based on professional knowledge, and it is not qualifying in nature. Here, the candidate must possess a higher score to be eligible for the interview round and overall selection. For the post of Rajbhasha Adhikari, there are two sections- one is objective and the other is descriptive.

IBPS SO Selection Process: Interview
After successfully clearing Prelims and Mains, candidates will appear for the interview round.
- The interview round is 100 marks.
- The candidate has to score at least 40% marks to get selected, whereas this score is 35% for ST/SC/OBC/PWD candidates.
- The candidates are tested on various parameters such as Technical/domain knowledge, Understanding of the banking sector, Communication skills, Confidence and clarity of thought, Problem-solving approach.
Final Selection
The final merit list is based on the marks obtained in the Mains and Interview rounds. which mains contains 80% of the weightage, and 20% is for the interview round.
IBPS SO Selection Process: Provisional Allotment
After successful selection, candidates will be provisionally allotted to the banks that come under IBPS.
- Allotment is based on merit basis
- In case two candidates procure the same marks then provisional allotment is decided based on date of birth.
