IBPS Clerk Online Form Correction Edit Window

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has opened the IBPS Clerk 2025 online form correction/edit window from 2nd September 2025 to 3rd September 2025. During this period, candidates who have successfully submitted their application form along with payment of the fee can make corrections or modifications to their submitted details. Applicants will be allowed to resubmit the revised application form only once, and only the latest updated application will be considered valid. However, details such as name, email ID, mobile number, state/UT, permanent address, post and nationality cannot be edited. A correction fee of Rs 200 (including GST) is applicable for making changes. Step 1: Visit ibps.in and click on “CRP Clerical Cadre – Apply Online.”

Step 2: Click “New Registration” and enter your name, mobile number, and email ID.

Step 3: Note down the Provisional Registration Number and Password.

Step 4: Fill in personal details like DOB, category, and nationality.

Step 5: Upload photo, signature, left thumb impression, and handwritten declaration as per IBPS specifications.

Step 6: Enter educational qualification details (degree, year of passing, percentage).

Step 7: Select State/UT and give bank preferences.

Step 8: Preview the form and correct any errors.

Step 9: Pay the application fee online via debit card, credit card, net banking, or UPI.

Candidates Credit History

  • The candidate applying shall ensure that they maintain a healthy Credit history at the time of joining participating banks. The minimum credit score will be as per the policy of participating banks, amended from time to time.
  • Those candidates whose CIBIL status has not been updated before the date of joining have to either get the CIBIL status updated or produce the NOCs from the lender to the effect that there is no outstanding with respect to the accounts adversely reflected in the CIBIL, failing which the letter of offer may be withdrawn/cancelled. The final discretion in this regard remains with the allotted Bank.

NOTE: Candidates without a bank account are not required to provide their CIBIL status. CIBIL Score requirement is not a precondition to apply.

IBPS Clerk Eligibility Criteria 2025

To be eligible for the IBPS Clerk exam, candidates must fulfil certain eligibility criteria related to age limit, educational qualification, and nationality/citizenship. It is essential to meet these criteria to avoid disqualification at later stages of the recruitment process.

IBPS Clerk Nationality/Citizenship 2025

A candidate must be either –

(i) a Citizen of India or

(ii) a subject of Nepal or

(iii) a subject of Bhutan or

(iv) a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or

a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

IBPS Clerk Education Qualification 2025 (As on 21.08.2025)

  • A Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a University recognised by the Govt. Of India or any equivalent qualification recognised as such by the Central Government.
  • The candidate must possess a valid Mark-sheet / Degree Certificate stating that he/ she is a graduate on the day he/she registers, and indicate the percentage of marks obtained in Graduation while registering online.
  • Computer Literacy: Operating and working knowledge in computer systems is mandatory i.e. candidates should have a Certificate/Diploma/Degree in computer operations/Language/ should have studied Computer / Information Technology as one of the subjects in High School/College/Institute.

Proficiency in the Official Language of the State/UT (candidates should know how to read/ write and speak the Official Language of the State/UT) for which vacancies a candidate wishes to apply is preferable.

Scores obtained in the Online Examination  

  • The corrected scores obtained by each of the candidates in different sessions (if held) will be normalised using the equi-percentile method.  
  • Scores up to two decimal points shall be taken for the purpose of calculations.

New Local Language Proficiency Test Introduced in CSA

  • The candidates applying for vacancies of a particular State/UT should be proficient in (reading, writing, speaking, and understanding) the specified/opted local language of that State/UT (mentioned in the list provided for each State/ UT).  
  • Candidate has to opt for ONE language at the time of online application for the local language test from the list provided for each State/ UT. 
  • Candidates who produce a 10th standard or above mark sheet/ certificate evidencing having studied the specified/ opted local language will not be required to undergo the language test.  
  • The test will be conducted after qualifying the Online Main examination/ Provisional Allotment but before joining the Bank.  
  • The test for knowledge of the specified/ opted local language will be conducted as a part of the selection process by an independent body or by the Bank and will be marks-based and qualifying in nature.  
  • Candidates who fail to qualify for this test will not be offered an appointment and will be disqualified from the process.

Please note that candidates will not be permitted to appear for the Online Preliminary as well as the Online Main Examination without the following documents:

  • Valid Call Letter for the respective date and session of the Examination. Those candidates who are called for the Mains Exam will also be required to bring an authenticated/stamped call letter of the Online Preliminary Exam (along with an authenticated/ stamped copy of the ID proof)
  • Photo-identity proof (as specified) in the original bearing the same name as it appears on the call letter/ application form
  • Candidates reporting late, i.e., after the reporting time specified on the call letter for the Examination, will not be permitted to take the examination. The reporting time mentioned on the call letter is prior to the Start time of the test.
  • Though the duration of the Online Preliminary Examination is 1 hour, the candidates may be required to be at the venue for about 2 hours or more, including the time required for completion of various formalities such as verification and collection of various requisite documents, logging in, giving of instructions, etc.
  • For the Online Main Examination, though the duration of the examination is 160 minutes, candidates may be required to be at the venue for about 3 hours or more, including the time required for completion of various formalities such as verification and collection of various requisite documents, logging in, giving of instructions, etc.

IBPS Clerk Pre-Exam Training 2025

Pre-Examination Training may be arranged either in Online Mode or Physical Mode for a limited number of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribes/ Other Backwards Classes/ Minority Communities/ Ex-Servicemen/ Persons With Benchmark Disabilities at certain centres viz. Agartala, Agra, Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar (Aurangabad), Balasore, Behrampur (Ganjam), Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Coimbatore, Dehradun, Dhanbad, Gorakhpur, Gulbarga, Guwahati, Hubli, Hyderabad, Indore, Jabalpur, Jaipur, Jammu, Jodhpur, Karnal, Kavaratti, Kochi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Ludhiana, Madurai, Mangalore, Mumbai, Muzaffarpur, Mysore, Nagpur, New Delhi, Panaji (Goa), Patiala, Patna, Port Blair, Prayagraj (Allahabad), Pune, Raipur, Rajkot, Ranchi, Sambalpur, Shimla, Shillong, Siliguri, Thiruchirapalli, Thiruvananthapuram, Tirupati, Vadodara, Varanasi, Vijaywada and Vishakhapatnam.

All eligible candidates who opt for and wish to avail of Pre-Examination Training should fill in the relevant column in the ONLINE APPLICATION. While training will be imparted free of cost, all other expenses regarding travelling, boarding, lodging, etc., will have to be borne by the candidate for attending the pre-examination training programme at the designated Centres. Depending on the response and administrative feasibility, etc., the right to cancel any of the Pre-Examination Training Centres and/ or add some other Centres and/or make alternate arrangements is reserved by IBPS.

By merely attending the Pre-Examination Training, no candidate acquires any right to be selected in any of the Participating Banks mentioned.

IBPS Clerk Admit Card 2025

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) is set to release the IBPS Clerk 2025 admit cards in two phases, separately for the Preliminary and Mains examinations. Admit cards will be available for download approximately 10 to 15 days before each exam on the official IBPS website (www.ibps.in).

Biometric Verification For IBPS Clerk 2025 Exam

  • At different stages of the selection process, Photograph and Biometric data (Right thumb impression or otherwise) may be captured/ verified. The photo captured will be matched with the photo uploaded by the candidate in the application. Candidate must NOT change his/her appearance from the photo uploaded in the application. Refusal to participate in the process of Biometric Thumb Impression capture/verification on any occasion may lead to cancellation of candidature.
  • With regards to the biometric data capture, please note the following:
    • a) If fingers are coated (stamped ink/mehndi/coloured..etc), ensure to thoroughly wash them so that the coating is completely removed before the exam day.
    • b) If fingers are dirty or dusty, ensure to wash and dry them before the fingerprint (biometric) is captured.
    • c) Ensure the fingers of both hands are dry. If fingers are moist, wipe each finger to dry it.
    • d) If the primary finger (Right thumb) to be captured is injured/damaged,
  • Immediately notify the concerned authority at the test centre.
  • In such cases, impressions of other fingers, toes, etc., may be captured.

Items Not Allowed Inside The Examination Centre

The following items are NOT allowed inside the examination centre:-

  • Any stationery item like textual material (printed or written), bits of paper, Geometry/Pencil Box, Plastic Pouch, Calculator, Scale, Writing Pad, Pen Drives, Log Table, Electronic Pen/Scanner, etc.
  • Any communication device like a Mobile phone, Bluetooth, Earphones, Microphone, Pager, Health Band, etc.
  • Other items like Goggles, Handbags, Hairpin, Hair-band, Belt, Cap, etc.
  • All ornaments like rings, Earrings, Nose-pin, Chain/Necklace, Pendants, Badge, brooch etc. should be thoroughly checked.
  • Any watch/Wrist Watch, Camera, devices with screen freeze or storage facilities, etc.
  • Any metallic item
  • Any edible item opened or packed, a water bottle, etc.
  • Any other item that could be used for unfair means for hiding communication devices, like cameras, Bluetooth devices, etc.

Any infringement of these instructions shall entail cancellation of candidature and disciplinary action, including a ban from future examinations and police complaints. Candidates are advised in their own interest not to bring any of the banned items to the venue of the examination, as arrangements for their safekeeping cannot be assured. IBPS or any agency engaged in the conduct of the online examination shall not take any responsibility for the loss of any of the items. Responsibility for the safekeeping of the same shall rest with the candidates at their cost or no cost.
