Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government. Those who are in the Final Year/ Semester of their Graduation may also apply provisionally, subject to the condition that, if called for an interview, they will have to produce proof of having passed the graduation examination on or before 30.09.2025. Candidates having an Integrated Dual Degree (IDD) certificate should ensure that the date of passing the IDD is on or before 30.09.2025. Candidates possessing qualifications such as Medical, Engineering, Chartered Accountant, Cost Accountant, etc., would also be eligible.

Number of Attempts in SBI PO Exam 2025
Candidates who have already appeared for the maximum number of permissible chances are not eligible to apply. The number of chances will be counted from the examination held on 18.04.2010. Appearing in the Preliminary Examination will not count as a chance. Appearing in the Main Examination will be counted as a chance. In the years in which only one written examination has been held (i.e. no Preliminary Examination has been held), appearing in this examination will be counted as a chance.

Selection criteria for Main Examination: Category-wise merit list will be drawn on the basis of the aggregate marks scored in the Preliminary Examination. There will be no sectional cut-off in the preliminary examination. Candidates numbering 10 times (approx.) the number of vacancies in each category will be shortlisted for the Main Examination from the top of the above merit list.
SBI PO Mains Exam Pattern 2025
The SBI PO 2025 Notification Mains Examination will be conducted online and will consist of Objective Tests for 200 marks and a Descriptive Test for 50 marks. The Descriptive Test will be administered immediately after the conclusion of the Objective Test, and candidates will have to type their Descriptive Test answers on the computer.

Sectional Cut off/ Minimum Qualifying Marks in Marks Examination
- Each candidate will have to score a minimum score in each test (i.e., Test I, II, III, IV & Descriptive paper individually) in the Main Examination.
- Depending on the number of vacancies available, cut-offs will be decided, and candidates will be shortlisted for Phase III.

Negative Marking SBI PO Prelims and Mains Exam 2025
There is a penalty of 0.25 marks for every incorrect answer in the objective tests of both Prelims and Mains. However, there is no negative marking in the Descriptive or Interview rounds.
SBI PO 2025 Final Selection
The candidates will have to qualify separately for both the Mains and Interview. The marks obtained in the Main Examination (Phase II), both in the Objective Test and the Descriptive Test, will be added to the marks obtained in Phase III for preparing the final merit list. The marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination (Phase I) will not be added to the final merit list for selection.

SBI PO 2025 application fee is as follows:
- General / OBC / EWS candidates: ₹750 — payable online during registration (via debit/credit card, net banking, or UPI).

The bank has arranged pre-examination training (PET) in online mode for SC/ ST/ OBC / PwBD candidates in accordance with the guidelines issued by the Government of India. All eligible candidates who opt for and wish to avail of Pre-Examination Training (PET) should fill in the relevant column in the online application. Candidates opting for Pre-Examination Training should log in for training from the Bank’s website by entering their registration number and date of birth.
