Changes in SBI Clerk 2025 Recruitment
- SBI has now released the pattern for the LLPT, which will be conducted for candidates who qualify the Mains exam but have not studied the specified local language of the State/UT applied for in Class 10th or 12th. The test is mandatory but qualifying in nature.
- The most significant change in the Clerk recruitment is the revised pay scale. The starting basic pay is now ₹24,050, with increments applicable as per the updated salary structure.

SBI Clerk Educational Qualifications 2025
Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government. Candidates having integrated dual degree (IDD) certificates should ensure that the date of passing the IDD is on or before 31.12.2025. Those who are in the final year/ semester of their graduation may also apply provisionally subject to the condition that, if provisionally selected, they will have to produce proof of having passed the graduation examination on or before 31.12.2024.

SBI Clerk 2025 Selection Process
The SBI Clerk Recruitment 2025 selection process consists of two phases- the Prelims Exam & Mains Exam for the post of Junior Associate. Every candidate who wants to secure a job in the SBI as a Clerk has to go through both rounds in the process. Candidates who pass the prelims exam will be eligible to appear in the mains exam. There is no interview round in the SBI JA 2025 selection process.

Provisional Selection (Subject to qualifying the specified opted local language)
The marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination (Phase-I) will not be added for the selection, and only the aggregate marks obtained in the Main Examination (Phase-II) will be considered for the preparation of the final merit list. Provisional selection will be made based on the candidate’s performance in the test (Main Examination). Final selection will be subject to verification of eligibility for the post and information furnished in the online application. ii. Qualifying in the test of the specified local language. The results of the candidates who have provisionally qualified for selection will be made available on the Bank’s website.
SBI Clerk Exam Pattern 2025 for Prelims
The Preliminary Exam is an Objective test for 100 marks that will be conducted online. This test would be of 1-hour duration, consisting of 3 Sections as follows:

SBI Clerk LLPT (Local Language Proficiency Test)
Those candidates who will clear Mains will have to undergo LLPT. This test is mandatory, but qualifying in nature. Candidates who have not studied (in class 10th or 12th) any of the specified local language of the State applied to, will have to appear in the Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT). Test of the specified opted local language:
Those who qualify for selection and produce a 10th or 12th standard mark sheet/A certificate evidencing having studied the specified opted local language will not be subjected to any Language test. In case of others (qualified for selection), a specified local language test will be conducted after provisional selection but before joining. Candidates who fail to qualify for this test will not be offered an appointment. Candidates not found proficient in the specified local language would be disqualified.

About the Waiting List of SBI Clerk
A wait list of up to 50% of vacancies (State-category-wise) will be maintained. Candidates will be released from this waitlist quarterly against non-joining and resignation out of the current batch only, subject to the candidates securing minimum qualifying marks as may be stipulated by the Bank
for selection. This wait list will be valid for one year from the date of declaration of the final result.

SBI Clerk 2025 Probation Period
Selected candidates will be governed by the terms and conditions of the Service Regulations of the Bank in force at the time of joining. The newly appointed Junior Associates will be on probation for a Minimum period of 6 months. Newly recruited Junior Associates will be required to complete e-lessons as prescribed by the bank during the probation period, to get confirmed in the Bank, failing which their probation will be extended till completion of the same. Further, before the probation period ends, the performance of the newly recruited employees will be evaluated, and the probation period of those employees whose performance fails to meet the Bank’s expectations may be extended.
Pre-Examination Training
The bank will arrange pre-examination training for SC/ST/OBC/Ex-servicemen/PwBD category candidates in consonance with the guidelines issued by the Government of India. Pre-examination Training will be
conducted online. All eligible Candidates who opt for and wish to avail of Pre-Examination Training should fill in the relevant column in the online application. Candidates opting for Pre-Examination Training should log in for training from the Bank’s website by entering their registration number and date of birth. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/Religious Minority communities can now download it from the official SBI website. The Pre-Exam Training is conducted to familiarize aspirants with the exam pattern and help them prepare effectively for the upcoming prelims. Admit Card for SBI Clerk
a. Preliminary Examination: The candidates should download their call letter and an “Acquaint yourself booklet” by entering their registration number and password/date of birth from the Bank’s website, tentatively from 10 days before the exam date.
b. Main Examination: Candidates qualified for the Main examination would be able to download their call letter from the Bank’s website (following the instructions available on the screen), tentatively from 10 days before the exam date.
c. At the time of the Main Exam: Candidates must bring a duly authenticated Preliminary exam call letter (with an authenticated copy of ID proof) as well as the Main examination call letter at the time of the Main examination. These documents, along with other requisite documents, need to be submitted during the Main examination. d. Candidates need to bring two additional photographs (same as pasted by the candidate on the call letter) along with the call letter and other requisite documents as per the information provided in the “acquaint yourself booklet” and call letter.
SBI Clerk 2025 Biometric Verification
Bank, at various stages, may capture thumb impressions or IRIS of candidates in digital format for biometric verification of the genuineness of the candidates. The candidate will ensure that the correct thumb impression or IRIS is captured at various stages, and any inconsistency will lead to rejection of the candidature. In case any candidate is found to be not genuine, apart from taking legal actions against him/her, his/her candidature will be cancelled. As such, they are advised not to apply any external matter like mehendi, ink, chemicals, etc. on their hands.

SBI Clerk 2025 Pre-Exam Training
The bank will arrange pre-examination training for SC/ST/OBC/Ex-servicemen/Religious Minority Community candidates in consonance with the guidelines issued by the Government of India. Pre-Examination Training will be conducted online. All eligible Candidates who opt for and wish to avail of Pre-Examination Training should fill in the relevant column in the online application. Candidates opting for Pre-Examination Training should download their call letter for training from the Bank’s website by entering their registration number and date of birth. No hard copy of the call letter will be sent.
