IBPS to Use Aadhaar Authentication for Bank Exams

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has been officially authorised to use Aadhaar authentication for candidate verification in bank recruitment examinations. The purpose of this decision is to increase transparency, prevent copying and strengthen the integrity of the examination process. Aadhaar-based verification will be voluntary for candidates, and IBPS will offer a fast and more secure identity check during the examination

Streamlining the Verification Process

Beyond the increase in security, the base-based certification is expected to streamline and intensify the identity verification process. Traditional methods of verification often include time-consuming manual checks, which can put a significant administrative burden on the IBP. By integrating the digital verification system of Aadhaar, IBP can easily confirm the identity of the candidates, allowing a smooth examination experience and reducing delays to reduce.

Voluntary Use of Aadhaar for IBPS Exams – Not Compulsory:

It is important to understand that the use of Aadhaar authentication in IBPS exams will be completely optional. Candidates who prefer to verify their identity through Aadhaar can still participate in the recruitment process using other valid identity evidence. The intention behind this step is to offer a fast, safe and trouble-free verification option for those who choose for the base, without a compulsory requirement.
