A candidate must be either –
- a Citizen of India or
- a subject of Nepal or
- a subject of Bhutan or
- a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or
- a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

The IBPS SO Interview 2025 is the final stage of the IBPS Specialist Officer recruitment process. Candidates who clear the Mains exam are shortlisted for this round.
The interview carries 100 marks, and a minimum qualifying mark is required (40% for General, 35% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD). IBPS SO Marking Scheme 2025
There will be a penalty for wrong answers marked in the Objective Tests. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate one fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as a penalty to arrive at a corrected score. If a question is left blank, i.e. no answer is marked by the candidate, there will be no penalty for that question.

IBPS SO Exam 2025: Items Not Allowed Inside Exam Centre
The following items are NOT allowed inside the examination center:-
- Any stationery item like textual material (printed or written), bits of paper, Geometry/Pencil Box, Plastic Pouch, Calculator, Scale, Writing Pad, Pen Drives, Log Table, Electronic Pen/Scanner, etc.
- Any communication device, like a Mobile Phone. Bluetooth, Earphones, Microphone, Pager, Health Band, etc.
- Other items like Goggles, Handbags, Hairpin, Hair-band, Belts, Cap, etc.
- All ornaments like Rings, Earrings, nose pins, chains/necklaces, Pendants, badges, brooches, etc. will be thoroughly checked.
- Any watch/Wrist Watch, Camera, devices with screen freeze or storage facilities, etc.
- Any metallic item
- Any edible item opened or packed, water bottle, etc.
- Any other item that could be used for unfair means for hiding communication devices like cameras, Bluetooth devices etc.

IBPS SO Pre-Training 2025
The IBPS SO Pre-Examination Training 2025 is a special training program conducted by participating banks for SC, ST, minority, and other eligible candidates.
