F.No.HQ-PPI03/12/2023-PP_1- Candidates may refer to the Notice of the Multi Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff, and Havaldar (CBIC & CBN) Examination 2023 published on 30.06.2023.

The Para 6.1.1 & 6.1.2 of the Notice of Examination may be read as follows:

• 18-25 years (i.e. candidates born not before  02.08.1998 and not later than 01.08.2005) for MTS.

• 18-27 years (i.e. candidates born not before  02.08.1996 and not later than 01.08.2005) for Havaldar in CBIC and CBN, Department of Revenue, and few posts of MTS in various departments.

The Para 19 of the Notice of Examination may be read as follows:

• Resolution of Tie Cases:

• In cases where more than one candidate secures the equal aggregate marks in Session-II, tie will be  resolved  by applying the following methods, one  after  another,  till  the tie is resolved:
  • Marks in General Awareness of Session-II.
  • Total normalized marks in Session-I.
  • Date of birth i.e. the candidate older in age gets preference.
  • Alphabetical order of the names.

The selection process of the SSC MTS exam consists of two stages: Paper-I and Paper-II. Paper-I is an online objective test that comprises four sections: General Intelligence and Reasoning, Numerical Aptitude, General English and General Awareness. Each section has 25 questions and carries 25 marks. The total duration of Paper-I is 90 minutes. There is negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.

Paper-II is a descriptive test that is conducted offline. It is a pen-and-paper test that requires you to write a short essay or letter in English or any other language included in the 8th schedule of the Constitution.
