UPSC CSAT 2024 Apply Online

Step 1: Go to the UPSC official website i.e. www.upsc.gov.in

Step 2: On the Homepage, Click on Apply Online Tab. 

Step 3: Register Yourself by filling the required details like Candidate’s name, DOB, Father’s Name, Contact Number & Email Id.

Step 4: After registration, the candidate will receive a unique Registration ID & password on the Email or Contact Number. (Note it down, as it will required till the final round)

Step 5: Login With Registration ID & password.

Step 6: Fill all the details including Personal information, Educational qualification, exam centre preference etc.

Step 7: Upload the documents like photograph, Signature, thumb impression in the specific format. 

Step 8: Pay the prescribed application fee. The fee amount varies based on the category and the examination. The payment can be made through Debit card, credit card, UPI

Step 9: Preview & Click on the Submit button.

Step 10: After Submitting the Form, Take a print out for the future reference.

UPSC CSAT 2024 Fees Structure

• Once the payment is made, it cannot be refunded.

UPSC CSAT 2024 Selection Process

UPSC CSAT assesses a candidate’s analytical and decision-making abilities, and a general studies paper. Candidates have to score at least 33% on the CSAT in order to proceed for the further stage. There is no pass or fail criteria in UPSC CSAT Exam. Candidates move on to the next rounds of the selection process, which is the Mains exam, after passing the UPSC CSAT 2024. It is important for candidates to perform well & score at least 33% in the CSAT exam.

The UPSC CSAT 2024 Eligibility criteria on the basis of nationality or citizenship are as follows: 

1. For the Indian Administrative Service, the Indian Foreign Service and the Indian Police Service, a candidate must be a citizen of India.
2. For other services, a candidate must be:—

• a citizen of India, or
• a subject of Nepal, or
• a subject of Bhutan, or
• a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
• a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

UPSC CSAT 2024 Eligibility Criteria Age Limit

To be eligible for the UPSC CSAT Exam, There are some minimum and maximum age limits. As per the official notification, the UPSC CSAT Eligibility criteria on the basis of the age limit are as follows. 

Note: The candidate must have been born between August 2, 1992, and August 1, 2003, meaning that on August 1, 2024, they cannot have become older than 32 years old.

UPSC CSAT 2024 Eligibility Criteria Educational Qualification

• For every Correct answer, the candidate will get 2.5 marks.
• For every Incorrect answer, One-third mark will be deducted i.e. 0.83 Mark.
