Subject: Report on Blood Donation Camp Organised by XYZ Bank
XYZ Bank, in collaboration with the Red Cross Society, organised a Blood Donation Camp on 12th August 2025 at the Town Hall. The initiative was part of the Corporate Social Responsibility programme aimed at contributing to community welfare.
The camp was inaugurated by the District Medical Officer, who appreciated the efforts of the bank in promoting healthcare initiatives. A team of doctors and paramedical staff supervised the entire process to ensure safety and hygiene. Awareness was created among visitors about the importance of blood donation, and posters were displayed to encourage voluntary participation.
Bank staff, customers, and local residents actively participated.A total of 95 units of blood were collected during the camp. Refreshments were provided to all donors, and certificates of appreciation were distributed by the Red Cross team. The event was smoothly managed by bank staff, ensuring proper registration and donor guidance.
The camp proved successful in addressing the healthcare needs of the community and showcased the commitment of the branch towards social responsibility. It is recommended that such camps be organised at regular intervals to build a strong culture of voluntary blood donation.
Email writing is especially important as it is a regular part of professional banking communication. Situation analysis checks your ability to read a workplace problem, identify the core issue, explain causes, suggest practical solutions, and finish with a brief, positive conclusion. Read the prompt carefully, state the problem in one line, list reasons in a few lines, propose clear and realistic steps (short-term and long-term), and end with a confident summary. Use formal, simple language, avoid blame, and practice typing answers within time. Here we are providing one sample question and important topics.
Question: A staff member in your branch is frequently late and unproductive, impacting overall efficiency. How will you address this?
Ans:
I would begin by observing the staff member’s behaviour objectively to gather facts about their performance. Then, I would arrange a private discussion to understand any underlying issues, whether personal or work-related.
If the reason is genuine, I would offer necessary support, such as flexible timings or temporary workload adjustment. However, I would also make it clear that repeated lapses affect branch performance and cannot be overlooked.
I would set specific, measurable performance expectations with timelines and review progress regularly. If no improvement is observed despite guidance, I would escalate the matter to HR as per policy.
This approach balances empathy with accountability, ensuring staff productivity and maintaining branch efficiency.
In Precis writing, you have to present a clear, brief summary of a longer passage, capturing only the main idea and key points. In the SBI PO Descriptive paper you may be required to summarize a passage into about 80–100 words. Use your own words, avoid personal opinions, and write in the third person. Read the passage carefully, jot down central ideas, ignore examples and repetitions, draft a concise version and polish for clarity and grammar. Stick to the word limit and maintain logical flow. Practice on a computer to improve speed. Here we provide a sample question for this.
Question
Passage (≈300 words)
The rapid advancement of technology has significantly transformed human life in the past few decades. From the internet to artificial intelligence, innovations have reshaped communication, education, healthcare, and commerce. One of the most profound impacts has been on the way people access and share information. With smartphones and high-speed internet, knowledge is available instantly, making learning more flexible and accessible. Students can now attend virtual classes, professionals can upskill through online courses, and individuals from remote areas can connect with the rest of the world without leaving their homes.
Healthcare too has witnessed revolutionary changes. Telemedicine allows patients to consult doctors online, reducing the burden on hospitals and making healthcare more accessible in rural areas. Artificial intelligence aids in diagnosing diseases and personalising treatments, improving patient outcomes. Similarly, businesses have embraced e-commerce and digital payment systems, enabling global reach and financial inclusion. Small enterprises now have opportunities to compete with larger corporations by reaching customers worldwide through digital platforms.
However, these benefits come with challenges. The digital divide continues to exclude sections of society without internet access or digital literacy. Privacy concerns and cybercrime pose significant risks, as personal data can be misused. Moreover, overreliance on technology may lead to reduced human interaction, affecting mental health and social skills. Automation also threatens traditional jobs, raising concerns about unemployment and inequality.
Despite these drawbacks, technology’s role in human progress cannot be denied. The key lies in using it responsibly, bridging the digital gap, and ensuring that ethical considerations guide its application. If managed wisely, technology has the potential to create a more inclusive, efficient, and prosperous world.
Write a précis of the passage in about 100 words.
