The State Bank of India (SBI) conducts the Probationary Officer (PO) recruitment process in three stages:

  1. Preliminary Exam
  2. Mains Exam

2. SBI PO Mains Exam Admit CardThe admit card of the Mains exam will be required for verification.
3. Proof of Date of Birth (DOB)Birth Certificate / 10th Marksheet / School Leaving Certificate.
4. Photo Identity Proof (Original + Copy)Aadhaar Card / PAN Card / Voter ID / Passport / Driving Licence (with name and photo).
5. Educational Qualification Certificates– 10th and 12th Marksheet and Certificates
– Graduation degree / Provisional Certificate
– All semester-wise or year-wise mark sheets
6. Category Certificate (if applicable)– For SC/ST/OBC/EWS candidates, valid certificate issued by competent authority in prescribed format.
– OBC certificate must mention Non-Creamy Layer status (valid as per government norms).
7. Disability Certificate (if applicable)For PwD candidates, a valid certificate issued by a medical board.
8. Experience Certificate (if applicable)If you have prior work experience, carry the experience letter or certificate from the employer.
9. Domicile Certificate (if required)Proof of residence issued by local authority (if mentioned in your application).
10. Photograph (passport size)Carry at least 4-5 recent passport-sized photographs — same as uploaded in the application form.
11. Signature Proof (if asked)In some cases, you may be asked to sign in front of officials for verification.
12. Caste Validity / Income Certificate (for EWS)Candidates applying under EWS must bring an Income & Asset Certificate as per SBI’s prescribed format.

  • Name Change Proof – Gazette notification or marriage certificate (if applicable).
  • Ex-Servicemen Certificate – Issued by the competent authority.
  • NOC (No Objection Certificate) – If you are currently employed in a government or public sector organization.
  • Equivalence Certificate – If your degree is from a foreign university or has a different grading system.

  1. All documents must be original and neatly arranged in a folder.
  2. Bring self-attested photocopies of all documents — SBI may retain them.
  3. The name on all documents should match the one on your SBI application form.
  4. In case of discrepancies in name or date of birth, carry valid supporting proof (like an affidavit or gazette copy).
  5. If you fail to produce any required document, your candidature may be canceled.
