RRB JE Eligibility Criteria 2026 Age Limit, Qualification & Relaxation
Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has announced the Eligibility Criteria for RRB JE, along with its notification that candidates must fulfill before applying. To begin with, applicants must be Indian citizens or fall under certain eligible categories, like subjects of Nepal/Bhutan or Tibetan refugees who settled in India before January 1, 1962. Candidates must hold a Diploma or Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, etc.) from a recognized university or institute. The minimum age limit is 18 years, and the maximum is 36 years (standard 18-33 years + 3 years special relaxation), usually calculated as on 1st January 2026. Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories. Additionally, candidates must have valid ID proof, academic documents, and meet the specific medical standards (A3, B1, etc.) at the time of joining. Failing to meet these criteria will lead to disqualification from the recruitment process.
The eligibility for RRB JE is very simple. You mostly need to focus on your age and your Engineering Diploma/Degree.
