2023 was a very tight year for aspirants. The commission released only 8,415 vacancies. Because the seats were limited, the competition was very high, and the cut-off marks went up significantly.

This was a historic year for SSC CGL. A massive 36,001 vacancies were released. This all-time high was due to the “Mission Mode” recruitment drive by the central government, allowing many average-scoring students to secure jobs.
In 2021, the numbers were normal and on the lower side, closing at 7,621 vacancies. Students had to score very well in their Tier 2 exams to get their preferred posts.
