The application fee for the SSC CGL form is ₹100 for General and OBC candidates. Female candidates and candidates belonging to SC, ST, PwD, and Ex-Servicemen categories are exempted from fee payment.

Filling out the SSC CGL application form consists of two parts:
Part 1: One-Time Registration (OTR) Process
Part 2: Form Filling Process
The SSC CGL one-time registration process is mandatory for those candidates who have not registered on the SSC official website yet. This process will give them a one-time registration number required to log in to the website. Without this process, you cannot fill out the SSC CGL application form.
During the one-time registration process, you will be required to upload your photograph and signature (mandatory) at a step. For successfully uploading the signature, you will be required to follow the specifications provided below (mentioned in the SSC CGL notification).

SSC CGL selection process consists of two tiers: Tier 1 (qualifying) and Tier 2 (merit). Below, we have provided a detailed selection process for both tiers, followed by document verification.
The SSC CGL 2026 exam will be conducted in 2 stages, i.e., Tier 1 & Tier 2. The SSC CGL Tier I Exam includes 4 sections: General Intelligence, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude (Basic Arithmetic Skill) & English Language (Basic Knowledge). Following that, the SSC CGL Tier 2 exam is divided into two papers. For a better understanding of the SSC CGL Exam Structure for each tier, check the table below.
SSC CGL Tier 1 exam comprises 4 sections: General Intelligence & Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, General English & General Awareness. SSC CGL Tier 1 includes 100 questions for 200 marks (2 marks each). For every incorrect answer, a 0.50 mark will be deducted as a penalty. There will be composite timings of 60 minutes.
