For the first time in history, three countries will jointly host the FIFA World Cup. These countries are the United States of America (USA), Canada, and Mexico. The tournament will take place in 16 different cities across North America.

The group stage is the first round of the tournament. Since there are 48 teams, FIFA will divide them into 12 groups. Each group will have 4 teams. Every team will play exactly three matches in this stage.
