The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducts the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) exam to recruit candidates for various prestigious Group B and C posts across government departments. The SSC CGL Selection Process 2025 is meticulously designed, consisting of two main examination stages, followed by essential document checks. Candidates must successfully navigate both tiers, as the final selection is determined solely by performance in Tier II, after a normalization process ensures fairness across shifts.
Candidates aiming for SSC CGL 2025 have to clear the two parts of the exam: Tier 1 and Tier 2. Tier 1 is the first stage to complete. Tier 2 comes after Tier 1 and is also necessary. To get selected, Candidates must succeed in both stages. The final selection involves a special process called normalization. Normalizing makes the scores from both stages of the exam fair to compare. Thus, the best-scoring candidates are chosen after the normalizing process.
SSC revised the selection process two years ago. The exam will be conducted as a two-tier exam now to shortlist candidates for various Group B and C posts under the SSC CGL Notification 2025.
