• Exam Format: Computer-Based Examination (CBT) with 100 questions carrying 2 marks each (Total 200 marks).
• Subjects: General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Comprehension.
• Result: Candidates are shortlisted based on category-wise cut-offs to appear for the Tier-II examination.

SSC CGL Selection Process 2025: Tier 2/Stage 2

• There are 3 papers in the Tier 2 exam in CBT (Computer-Based Test) mode.
• Paper I is compulsory for all the candidates, whereas Papers II and III are given for specific posts.

SSC CGL Typing Test Speed

SSC CGL typing speed test is a skill test that the SSC conducts to check the ability of the candidate to type in English or Hindi on a computer. The candidates have to maintain an accuracy of at least 80% in their typing. They have to type at least 2000 key depressions in 15 minutes. The key depressions include alphabet, numbers, symbols, and space bars. The accuracy is calculated based on the errors made in spelling, punctuation, grammar, and formatting.

Document Verification (DV)

Candidates who clear the Tier-II stage and are recommended for selection must appear for the Document Verification (DV) process. This stage is conducted by the respective user department/Ministry where the candidate is allocated.

3. Date of Birth (Older candidates are preferred).
4. Alphabetical order of the candidate’s name initials.
