The SSC allows candidates to modify most of the details entered during the online application. This generally includes:

Step-by-Step Guide to Correcting Your SSC CGL 2025 Application

Follow these steps carefully to amend anything in your SSC CGL 2025 form:

  1. Visit the Official Website: Open your browser and go to the Staff Selection Commission’s official page, ssc.gov.in.
  2. Log in to Your Account: On the front page, find the Login box and type in your Registration Number along with the Password you created.
  3. Navigate to the Application Correction Link: After signing in, look for a button that says Application Correction or Modify Application for the SSC CGL 2025 exam.
  4. Make the Necessary Corrections: The form you sent earlier will appear. Go through it slowly and change only the fields that need fixing.
  5. Re-upload Documents (if required): If your photo or signature isnt clear or meets the rules, upload new files that fit the size limit- for photos, 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm between 20 and 50 KB in JPEG; for signatures, 4 cm x 3 cm between 10 and 20 KB in JPEG. Keep new files sharp and cropped correctly so they pass the automatic check.
  6. Review and Verify: Read through every edited line before you hit Submit again. A final double-check saves time and keeps your test ticket issue-free.
  7. Pay the Correction Fee: Proceed to pay the applicable correction fee (₹200 for the first attempt, ₹500 for the second) through online modes such as BHIM UPI, Net Banking, or credit/debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, RuPay).
  8. Submit the Modified Application: After successful payment, submit your modified application form.
  9. Take a Printout: It is highly recommended to take a printout of your corrected application form for your records.

How Many Times Can You Make Corrections in the SSC CGL Form?

SSC offers two chances to correct your application:

  1. First Attempt: You can log in, make changes, and resubmit the corrected form.
  2. Second Attempt (if needed): If you make a mistake in the first correction attempt, you get one more opportunity to fix it and resubmit.

Important: After the second correction, no more changes will be allowed under any circumstances.

Charges You Need to Pay for Correction

The SSC has introduced correction charges that apply uniformly to all candidates, regardless of gender or category.

  • First Correction Attempt: ₹200/-
  • Second Correction Attempt: ₹500/-

These charges can be paid only through the online mode using:

  • BHIM UPI
  • Net Banking
  • Visa / Mastercard / Maestro / RuPay Debit Cards

Once paid, these charges are non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances.

What to do Before the Final Submission?

Candidates are advised to final check their application form before submitting the form after making the important changes.

  • All details are accurate and updated.
  • You double-check every field, from personal details and academic information to exam center preferences.
  • Payment is successfully processed and confirmed.

Once the correction window closes on July 11, 2025, at 11:00 PM, no further requests for changes will be entertained. So, candidates are advised to make sure they are making changes before the last date of the SSC CGL application correction. SSC will not accept any communication via post, email, or in-person visits regarding corrections after the deadline.
