RRB Junior Engineer (JE) 2026 exam is scheduled to be conducted on 19th, 20th February, and 3rd March 2026. As we all know, Mathematics carries 30 Marks in CBT-1. It means if you have not practiced it yet, you should start it right now. We know that it will be difficult for you at this point. But honestly, it will be difficult for you to crack this exam without quant practice. Many engineering students make a big mistake. They think, “I am an engineer, Maths is easy for me.” Overconfidence leads to silly mistakes. In the exam, you have to solve questions in less than 1 minute. Without practice, even easy questions can consume 3-4 minutes, ruining your paper. To help you practice speed and accuracy without wasting time, we have provided Free RRB JE Maths Topic Tests. These are short, 10-15 minute tests that help you sharpen your calculation skills chapter by chapter. In this blog, we have shared direct links so you can start practicing right now.

Know Your RRB JE Maths Syllabus

The syllabus for RRB JE CBT-1 is standard, but the competition is high. You need to master both Arithmetic and Advanced Maths.

Key Topics to Master:

  • BODMAS: This is the easiest part. You will get 3-4 questions just on calculations. Don’t lose marks here!
  • Algebra & Trigonometry: Unlike banking exams, Railways loves Algebra and Trig. Memorize the basic identities (a2 – b2, sin2 θ+ cos2θ).
  • Mensuration: Questions are purely formula-based. If you know the formula for the Volume of a Cone or Cylinder, you get the mark.
  • Time, Speed & Distance: Train problems are very common.
  • Profit & Loss: Focus on “Discount” and “Dishonest Shopkeeper” type questions.

Why Maths Topic Tests Are Important?

  1. Highest Weightage (30 Marks): This section covers 30% of your total score. If you score 25+ here, your chances of clearing CBT-1 skyrocket.
  2. Speed is Everything: You have 100 questions to solve in 90 minutes. That is less than a minute per question. Topic tests train you to calculate mentally.
  3. Negative Marking (1/3rd): A small calculation error costs you 1.33 marks (1 for the question + 0.33 penalty). Topic tests teach you accuracy.
  4. No Calculator Allowed: Since you cannot use a calculator in the exam, you need to build the habit of manual calculation. Topic tests force you to do that.

How to Use Maths Topic Tests?

  • Make a Formula Notebook: Write down all the Mensuration and Trigonometry formulas in a small diary. Read it every morning before taking a test.
  • Stop Using a Calculator: While practicing at home, strictly say NO to the calculator. It will slow you down in the actual exam.
  • Analyze Your Time: If a “Time & Work” question took you 3 minutes in the test, then try to find and analyze why. Find a shorter method or ratio trick.
  • Daily Routine: Solve at least 2 Topic Tests daily. One from Arithmetic (like Percentage) and one from Advanced Maths (like Geometry).

Remember: 30 Marks is huge. Don’t let overconfidence ruin your dream of becoming a Railway Engineer. Start practicing smart with our free tests.
