The SBI CBO exam tests a candidate’s analytical and subjective skills through both an objective and a subjective test. The objective section includes four main areas, English Language, Banking Knowledge, General Awareness/Economy, and Computer Aptitude, with a total of 120 questions of 120 marks for the duration of 2 hours. The English Language section consists of 30 questions of 30 marks, of which Reading Comprehension is an important part. Remember that there is no negative marking in the SBI CBO exam. Step 1 – Start by Reading the Questions first

You can start by reading the passage, too. Both strategies have their pros and cons. Attempt a mock test and identify the strategy that suits you best. It is recommended to start with reading the questions first, which will help you locate the answer in the passage when you are reading the passage.

Step 2 – Get an overview of Passage with Questions in Mind

Now, try to identify the main idea of the passage. Note the tone and structure of the passage. Also, identify the keywords mentioned in the passage. And reach upon that keyword when you are answering the questions.

  3. Use context clues: When encountering unfamiliar words or phrases, use the surrounding text to understand their meaning.
  4. Practice time management: Develop a strategy for pacing yourself while reading and answering questions. If you are not able to understand a question, move on to the next. Try to solve 2 questions within 1 minute.
