Data Interpretation for LIC AAO 2025

The Data Interpretation topic is data given in the form of a table, a pie chart, a caselet, a line graph, and a mixed form. You are asked to interpret the given data and solve the questions based on that diagram. 10 to 15 questions are asked every year on this topic. To solve data interpretation questions, you should know the basic mathematical concepts like percentage, fraction, ratio, decimal, and average. These questions test your basic calculation abilities, like addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. The level of questions will be moderate. If you practice well, you will be able to solve them easily.

notebooks sold by shop ‘A’.

Types of DI asked in LIC AAO Exam

There are different types of Data Interpretation sets asked in the LIC AAO exam. These types are Pie Chart DI, Table DI, Line Graph DI, Bar Graph DI, Caselet DI, and Mixed DI. The example of Pie Chart DI is shown above. 

  • The Table DI is the DI in which the data is given inside a table.
  • The Line graph DI is the DI in which the data is given in the form of a linear line graph or the graph showing the increase or decrease of the data is given.
  • The Bar graph DI is the data given in the form of a Bar graph where you can see clearly which entity is more or less.
  • The caselet DI is the DI in which the data is given in the form of a paragraph.
