• Final Rank is from 390 Marks: Your job and rank depend on the total marks from Maths (90) + Reasoning (90) + English (135) + General Awareness (75).
• English is the Game Changer: With 45 questions and 135 marks, this single section has the highest weightage.
• Computer and DEST are Mandatory to Pass: You must pass the Computer module and the Data Entry Skill Test (DEST). If you fail in these, you fail the whole exam, even with a great score in the main sections.

2. Create a Detailed and Realistic Study Plan

SSC has not released any exact dates for the Tier 2 exam, but you can expect the scheduling of this exam in December/ January 2025. You have limited time, so you cannot study randomly. 3. Focus on Building Your Foundation: Section-wise Tips

To score good marks in the exam, it’s important to focus on each section seriously. For that, you need to first build your foundation, but you have already built it during your Tier 1 preparation. Still, you are advised to do it again, but try to finish it in 5-7 days. Also, check for topics that you have not prepared during your Tier 1 exam preparation.

Mathematical Abilities (30 Questions, 90 Marks)

• Change in Focus: Tier 1 was about speed. Tier 2 is about deep concepts and solving tougher, sometimes lengthier, questions.
• New Topics: Make sure to cover topics like Statistics and Probability, which are new additions and very scoring if you get the basics right.
• Strategy: Don’t just rely on shortcut tricks. Master the fundamental method first. In Tier 2, SSC can ask questions in a twisted form.

2. Take Weekly Mocks: Once you’ve covered 50-60% of your syllabus, take a full-length mock test at least once a week. This will help you manage your time during the real exam.
