Vikrant Gupta SBI PO 2019 Success Story

Which exams did you appear in till date and what were their results?*

Basically, I am SSC CGL aspirant and as we all know SSC CGL 2018 was delayed and so I started giving banking exams just to avoid procrastination and fortunately cleared both SBI PO 2019 and LIC AAO 2019.

How did you prepare for the English section?*

English: My English was already good , thanks to newspaper reading and novel reading habit since my school days. So I didn’t prepare much and gave just mocks. Quant: I had already cleared my basics while preparing for SSC using books like Kiran Previous Year papers , Rakesh Yadav etc. So for banking exams i solved quizzes from various online portals followed by numerous mocks. Reasoning: For reasoning, I watched few you tube channels like meritshine to understand the basics and after that solved daily quizzes from various online sources General Awareness: For general awareness,I followed affairs cloud monthly pdf’s and mcq’s covered from Practice Mock’s mock tests. Interview-I focussed on my biodata and work experience and prepared thoroughly from these topics. Also, i followed meritshine channel for interview preparation. I was pretty confident after giving interviews and much to my expectations i got 50 out of 50 in SBI PO and 54 out 0f 60 in LIC AAO

What was your overall strategy? Did you follow a study schedule? If yes, please share the details.*

Since i was working in an IT company, I had severe paucity of time. So i have to micromanage my whole day finding time whenever i can and utilizing it for covering CA. Also once i was done with the basics as mentioned above, i started giving mocks only. I used to get 3-4 hours daily and utilized these hours for mocks and current affairs. On weekends i used to slog 8-10 hours and mostly revise all the important Questions done during the whole week.

Did PracticeMock help you in your success? Please elaborate.*

I used mock tests of Practice Mock only. Just giving mocks is not a solution, Analysis after that is of utmost importance. More time should be given to analysis in order to understand your strong and weak areas. Also i used to write important Questions from the mocks and revised them on weekends.
