Success Story of Vidhubala D – A Journey of Persistence and Self-Belief

Home » Success Stories » Success Story of Vidhubala D

Success in banking exams does not always come quickly. For many aspirants, it takes years of hard work, failures, and continuous learning before achieving their goal. Vidhubala D’s journey is a perfect example of perseverance, resilience, and unwavering self-belief. Despite facing multiple failures, personal struggles, and even a lack of resources in the early years, she never gave up on her dream.

Starting her journey in 2014, she consistently appeared for banking exams, cleared several prelims, reached mains and interviews multiple times, but faced setbacks in final selections. However, her determination and belief in herself helped her push forward. After years of effort, she finally achieved success by getting selected as a Clerk in Bank of India and also clearing the LIC Assistant exam (Empanelment List).

Preparation Journey and Exam Experience

“Appeared for every single exam from ibsp RRB clerk from 2014. Never failed in any of the prelims except IBPS Prelims 2017 and SBI PO Prelims 2019
Qualified in United India insurance clerk mains but didn’t got it. Then there are exams I got cleared but lost in interview
1.Tamilnadu mercantile bank clerk
2. Lakshmi Vilas Bank PO
3. IBPS RRB PO

Got selected as clerk in bank of India and also cleared LIC assistant exam ( empanelment list) too “

Section-wise Preparation Strategy

“I am an English medium student so I never struggled in it. Everytime I score 25 or above 25+. I used to practise adda quiz for English and mocks from practice mock

For Quants I used to practise word problems and quantity problems and DI quiz for mains ..Also from practice mock
mains mock test and I used to take note of the question and the solution too. And I revise it before exam.Apart from this I followed YouTube channel of oliveboard and current affairs funds for Quants and reasoning.

For reasoning I followed few YouTube channels like virtuous , KS educational hub, oliveboard . Then I used to solve quizzes from affairs cloud mains from 2017. And repeatedly I solve quizzes from practice mock and mains mock too

For general awareness I study daily gk affairs from bankers adds and I revise what I studied just by studying mcq from various site. Aspirants zone , affairs cloud, practice mock, oliveboard YouTube”

Study Schedule and Strategy

“I don’t have any study schedule cuz I never stick with my schedule. So I just decide what I want to learn and how much time I have to spend. I used to spend two hours for every section and extra one hour for static and banking GK related to daily GK.

I am not among the one who study late at night. I wake up at 4 a.m. and sleep by 10 p.m. (9 p.m. before exams), which helped me feel the day is longer and more productive.

I used to take mains mock tests on Monday and Thursday. After attempting a mock, I immediately worked on corrections for GK and English the same day. For the next two days, I spent around three hours daily analyzing the mock, as attempting alone is not enough—proper analysis is important to improve.

I focused on doing what suited me instead of following others blindly. I prepared for both prelims and mains together by practicing quizzes daily for each section. Before prelims, I dedicated a few days to section-wise revision.

I also believed in staying relaxed during exams, attempting maximum questions with accuracy, and maintaining a positive mindset throughout the preparation.”

Role of PracticeMock

“I started clearing exams only after using practice mock only. 90% of the time for mains I just learned from Mock test alone. When I started using it I lost exams by few marks alone. So last year I believed yes I will clear for sure this time and the best part is affordable price. Thank you so much”

Message for Aspirants

“You are worthy. You are enough. And you can achieve it too. All the best”

Conclusion

Vidhubala D’s journey is a powerful example of never giving up despite years of failures, personal struggles, and societal pressure.
