I started preparing for banking examinations from February 2021. I must say that this journey was nothing less than a roller coaster ride. I cleared my basic concepts in 3 months & started appearing in exams. Initially I didn’t got positive results when I appeared for exams like SBI Clerk & SBI PO. But owing to consistent practice & self belief I was able to clear 3 Exams back to back. So, this journey was a big learning curvature for me.

English Section Preparation Strategy

I did nothing fancy in English section like mugging up grammar rules or vocab. I just simply read newspaper & novels on a daily basis for 1 hour. And in the rest time I attempted sectional mocks in English to analyze and Improve on my shortcomings.

Quantitative Aptitude Section Preparation Strategy

For quants I would strongly suggest that there is only one stop solution, i.e., Mr. Ashish Arora Sir. I attended his foundation course 2 times and completed all the targets given by sir without missing a time. For mains I attended his special mains course & rigorously practiced with mock tests.

Reasoning Section Preparation Strategy

Firstly I learned how to solve puzzles by attending free lectures of Ankush Lamba sir & after that attended 1 comprehensive course of reasoning by Ankush sir on unacademy. After clearing my basics I practiced religiously from mocks.

General Awareness Section Preparation Strategy

General Awareness is basically divided into 2 sections, Namely current affairs & banking awareness.

* Banking awareness- I completed warrior batch of Ashish gautam sir which is more than sufficient for this section.

* Current affairs – CA must be covered till last 6 months. I read news from affairscloud weekly PDFs & practiced MCQs from Practicemock free quizzes. After that I revise CA from study IQ’s 300 MCQ videos before going to exams.

This strategy fetched me decent marks in GA section.

Overall Strategy, Study Schedule & Challenges Faced.

My strategy was to complete all the basic concepts in the initial 3 months before the exams & then practice with mocks as much as I can, As attempting more & more mocks only will help you to clear exams. Yes, I did followed a study schedule depending upon my requirements at a Time but generally I gave following hours to respective subjects:

* Quant- 2.5 hours (Covering speed maths, DI & arithmetic questions)

* Reasoning – 2 hours (Practicing puzzles & miscellaneous questions)

* English – 1 Hour (Reading Newspaper & novel)

* GA – 1 Hour (Reading PDFs & solving MCQs)

After that I attempted 1 pre mock daily & mains mock once in 4 days.

Yes I faced various hurdles like:

* Facing difficulty while focusing on studies – For this purpose I started meditating 15 mins a day & It helped tremendously.

* Lack of motivation – To overcome this issue I started running on a daily basis which helped me to generate enough adrenaline hormones to keep me pumped and motivated for the day.

* Lastly I would say that making daily schedule & completing targets helped to achieve my goals.
