HariOm’s Success Story

I started my preparation back in May 2021, I didn’t have any idea about the banking exams. I opted for bank exams as there is a fast process. I started preparing from a few books and then subscribed banking course. The first exam for which I appeared was for an SBI CLERK then RRB PO, RRB CLERK. I cleared SBI CLERK, IBPS PO, and SBI PO prelims but couldn’t make it to the final list. But I never lose faith in myself and my hard work which earned me the job at last.

English Section Preparation Strategy

Before starting preparation I gave a mock which was free on the practice mock app. I analyzed the topics on which I need to work on. I focused on Reading comprehension and Grammar, and for the rest of the topics Quizzes from practice mock.

Quantitative Aptitude Section Preparation Strategy

Quantitative Aptitude and reasoning are my strong portions. For Quants, first, I cleared the basics and then practiced daily as much as I could. Practiced a lot of questions around 10-15 Mains DIs daily. For the miscellaneous part practice mock’s quizzes.

Reasoning Section Preparation Strategy

For prelims, I used to practice 15-20 puzzles daily, and for mains 5-6 mains puzzles. For the miscellaneous part practice from mocks. Practice mock’s Sectional and topic-wise tests for getting good speed.

General Awareness Section Preparation Strategy

I focused more on monthly booklets only and relied only on those topics which have more weightage and revised them on regular basis.

Overall Strategy, Study Schedule & Challenges Faced

I didn’t follow a strict schedule like I have to study for 10hrs or 12hrs but I focused on topic-wise coverage. One Mains Mock before prelims and after prelims 3-4 mocks. As prelims is a subset of mains preparation my main focus was on Mains preparation. A low score in main mocks was the real disappointment, to overcome this first I analyze it and then again attempted the mock so to be sure I can score well if hadn’t gotten distracted.
