Success Story of Arghya Mondal, Cleared IBPS CLERK

Home » Success Stories » Success Story of Rajdeep Deb

Rajdeep Deb’s journey is a powerful example of how perseverance and support can carry you through even the most uncertain times. Starting his preparation in November 2022, Rajdeep faced a string of near misses, like clearing multiple prelims in 2023 but falling short in the mains. With limited time to study due to his job as a Gramin Dak Sevak under the Department of Posts, he had no fixed strategy or routine. Yet, he didn’t let that stop him. Supported by friends and family and fueled by consistent practice through free mocks, quizzes, and current affairs PDFs, Rajdeep kept moving forward. His patience paid off in 2025 when he finally cracked the IBPS Clerk exam. His story is proof that even if the journey is slow, every bit of progress counts. If you have the right mindset, success is inevitable.

PracticeMock’s Conversation with Rajdeep Deb

Let’s find out how Rajdeep turned his dream into a reality:

Q. Please brief us on when you started preparing for the competitive exams and how your preparation journey was.

I started preparing in November 2022 and cleared many prelims in 2023 but couldn’t make it to the final section and finally got selected in 2025.

Q. Which exams have you appeared in to date, and what were their results?

In my first attempt at RRB Clerk, I couldn’t clear the mains, but in the second attempt (2024), I was placed on the reserve list. I also appeared for RRB PO but missed the prelims by just over 1 mark. In addition, I couldn’t clear the mains for IBPS PO, SBI Clerk (where I fell short by 10 marks), and RBI Assistant.

Q. How did you prepare for the Quantitative Aptitude section?

Through YouTube videos and mocks.

Q. What was your strategy for the General Awareness section?

PracticeMock free weekly PDF and FREE quizzes.

Q. What was your overall strategy? Did you follow a study schedule? If yes, please share the details.

No , I didn’t have any strategy. I am working as a GDS under the Department of Posts, so I don’t get much time to prepare, so I didn’t have any particular routine. I used to study whenever I got time.

Q. Did you face any hurdles as well? How did you overcome it?

I was demotivated most of the time, but my friends and family supported and pushed me towards success.

Q. Did PracticeMock help you in your success? Please elaborate.

Yes, free topic tests and CA quizzes. Also, CA weekly PDF.

Q. What’s your message for the fellow aspirants who are preparing for competitive exams?

They should be consistent and not lose hope. And they don’t panic during the exams.

Takeaway

Rajdeep Deb’s story reminds us that success doesn’t always come quickly, but with consistency, self-belief, and the right support system, it does come. Whether you have a full-time job or limited study hours, what matters most is not giving up when the going gets tough. Make the most of free resources, stay calm during exams, and remember: every small effort you make is a step closer to your goal. Keep showing up, and success will eventually knock on your door.
