SSC MTS 1 Month Study Plan Your 30-Day Roadmap to Success
Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has decided to conduct the SSC MTS exam from February 4, 2026. You have roughly 30 days left. Is it enough? Yes. If you stop worrying and start working, one month is enough to revise, practice, and sharpen your skills to clear the exam. To help you out with this, we have created a realistic, day-by-day SSC MTS 1 Month Study Plan for you. No impossible targets, just a simple, structured routine to make sure you cover Reasoning, Maths, English, and General Awareness without stress. As you know, Session 2 (General Awareness & English) decides your final merit, while Session 1 (Maths & Reasoning) is qualifying. Our plan balances this perfectly, giving extra weightage to the scoring subjects while keeping you safe in the qualifying ones. So, go through this blog carefully and start your preparation right now.
This plan focuses on high-scoring topics first. We have divided your preparation into blocks of days. The goal is simple: revise concepts, practice questions, and attempt mock tests.
Note: If you are just reading rules and not attempting the mock tests, you might be making a mistake. You are strongly advised to practice mock tests in parallel to your preparation.

Having a plan is good, but following a routine is what gets you selected. You don’t need to study 15 hours a day; you need to study smartly for 6-8 hours. Here is a perfect timetable for a serious SSC MTS aspirant:
| Time Slot | Activity | Why? |
| 6:00 AM – 8:00 AM | General Awareness (GK/CA) | Fresh mind helps memorize facts, dates, and current affairs easily. |
| 8:00 AM – 9:00 AM | Breakfast & Break | Fuel up for the day. |
| 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM | English Language (Vocab + Grammar) | English is a merit-deciding subject; give it your prime focus. |
| 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM | Maths & Reasoning (Practice) | Solving logical problems keeps you engaged before lunch. |
| 1:00 PM – 2:30 PM | Lunch & Power Nap | A short nap boosts memory retention and recharges you. |
| 2:30 PM – 4:00 PM | Mock Test / Previous Year Paper | Simulate exam time environment (very important!). |
| 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM | Tea Break / Walk | Relax your eyes and stretch your body. |
| 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM | Analysis of Mock Test | Checking where you went wrong is more important than the test itself. |
| 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM | English Vocab / Idioms Revision | Vocab requires multiple revisions; evening is great for light reading. |
| 8:00 PM – 9:00 PM | Dinner & Family Time | Disconnect from studies. |
| 9:00 PM – 10:00 PM | Quick Revision (Notes/GK) | Just glance through what you studied all day. |
| 10:30 PM | Sleep | 7-8 hours of sleep is non-negotiable for a sharp brain. |
With the SSC MTS exam very close, staying calm and practical is more important than heavy studying; these last-minute tips focus on confidence, clarity, and smart revision.

Yes, one month is sufficient if you follow a structured study plan, focus on the merit-deciding subjects (English & GK), practice daily mocks, and analyze mistakes consistently.
General Awareness and English Language are the most important because the final merit list is prepared based only on the marks obtained in Session 2 (English + GK).
Yes, there is negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer in Session 2. However, there is usually no negative marking in Session 1 (Maths & Reasoning). Always check the latest admit card/instructions to be sure.
A daily study time of 6–8 hours with proper subject division, revision, and mock test practice is ideal for effective SSC MTS preparation.
Absolutely. Solving previous year question papers helps you understand the difficulty level of the General Awareness questions and the pattern of English Grammar asked in the exam.
