SSC MTS Self Slot Selection Link Active, Select Your Exam City, Date Before 25th Jan
SSC Exam Self Slot Selection is a new feature that lets candidates choose their preferred exam city, date, and shift instead of getting a random allotment. This option was earlier available for SSC CHSL, JE, Delhi Police Constable Exam, and CPO, and now it has also been opened for SSC MTS. This initiative is a big relief for students who often faced travel issues due to randomly assigned centers. With the new system, you can pick the slot that suits you best. So far, SSC has completed the slot-selection process for CHSL 2025 Tier 1, SSC JE (10–13 Nov 2025), and SSC CPO (17–21 Nov 2025). From January 16 to 25, 2026, the same facility is available for SSC MTS exam. Read this blog to get all the details and direct links for slot selection for your specific exam.
CRITICAL WARNING: Unlike the earlier phases, the new notice for Delhi Police exams states that if you fail to select a slot, your Admit Card will NOT be generated. Do not rely on auto-allotment.
In simple words, “Self Slot Selection” means that you can finally get to choose your exam date, time (slot), and city, instead of SSC randomly allotting you an exam city, date, and slot. This is one of the huge upgrades because for years, candidates were stuck with whatever date or shift they were assigned, which often meant booking expensive last-minute travel or taking an inconvenient night shift.
This initiative is a big deal for most of the aspirants across India, whether you’re in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, or a smaller town like Warangal. It can cut down your travel stress, let you plan your logistics (like hotels or train bookings) early, and help you use your time for your last-minute preparation.
SSC is rolling this out in phases. While the windows for CHSL, JE, and CPO have closed, the window for SSC MTS Exam is opening now. If you are appearing in this exam, make sure to book your slot. The window will be open from January 16 to 25, 2026.

Students preparing for SSC quantitative aptitude topics should also practice Simplification for SSC CGL exam regularly, as strong calculation speed and shortcut-solving techniques help candidates save valuable time during Tier 1 exams.
When the window opens for your specific exam, we suggest you opt for this facility as soon as possible because lakhs of candidates will be using this facility and result in you not getting your preference.
Important Note: If you miss the deadline (e.g., October 28 for CHSL), the system auto-allots a slot for you based on whatever is left. You are strongly advised not to let that happen!
This is not just about convenience; it’s about logistics management, which can save you time for your revision.
