The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the SSC CHSL Tier 2 Result 2026 in the form of the First Round of Tentative Allocation (FRTA) on 17th August 2026. They have also relased the Identification Verification notice on their official website. Candidates who appeared in the SSC CHSL Tier 2 Examination 2025 can now check the first round allocation, post-wise and category-wise details, vacancies, last selected candidate marks and qualifying criteria. As per the official SSC CHSL FRTA notice, 3,515 candidates have been provisionally recommended for Identification Verification against 3,522 reported vacancies. The allocation has been prepared on the basis of candidates’ merit, post preferences and performance in Tier-II Sections I and II, subject to qualifying Sections III and IV.

SSC CHSL Tier 2 Result 2026 Out

The SSC CHSL Tier 2 Result 2026 has been released along with the First Round of Tentative Allocation (FRTA) for the Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Level Examination, 2025. The Tier-I result was declared on 27th February 2026, while the Tier-II examination was conducted on 10th April and 22nd April 2026.

Candidates who appeared in Tier-II and submitted their online post preferences can check their allocation status through the official FRTA result documents. A total of 13,395 candidates submitted their preferences online between 19th and 25th June 2026 and were considered for the further selection process.

SSC CHSL 2025 Corrigendum Released: Post Names Corrected

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released a corrigendum dated 19 August 2026 regarding the First Round of Tentative Allocation (FRTA) of the Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Level Examination, 2025. The corrigendum corrects the post names mentioned for post codes L20 and L53 in the FRTA published on 17 August 2026.

For the DEO Grade ‘A’ post, candidates were required to qualify the Skill Test. The maximum permissible percentage of mistakes is 7% for the listed reserved categories and 5% for UR candidates.

SSC CHSL FRTA 2026: 3,515 vs 3,507 Candidates

Candidates may notice that the number of candidates mentioned in the official notice and the number visible in the detailed allocation list are different.

The official notice states that 3,515 candidates were provisionally recommended, while the detailed list contains 3,507 candidate records. The reason is that the Commission has kept the results of 8 candidates withheld.

Therefore:

3,515 recommended candidates − 8 withheld candidates = 3,507 candidates listed in the detailed allocation list.

This explains the difference between the two figures.

What After SSC CHSL Tier 2 Result 2026?

The Commission has introduced a Sliding Mechanism to deal with vacancies that may remain unfilled. Candidates have to select their venue, date and slot between 20 and 22 August 2026, while the physical Sliding Process will be conducted from 1 to 3 September 2026.

Candidates must physically attend the Sliding Process. SSC has stated that candidates who fail to attend will be treated as absent and will not be considered for the final result.

SSC CHSL Tier 2 Result 2026: Tie-Breaking Rules

In case two or more candidates obtain the same score in Tier-II, SSC resolves the tie using the following criteria in sequence:

  1. Marks scored in Tier-II Section-I
  2. Marks scored in Tier-I
  3. Date of birth, with the older candidate placed higher
