After the online test, candidates’ applications and performance are reviewed by a Screening Committee. The committee assesses the eligibility and suitability of candidates based on predefined parameters. Only those meeting the criteria are shortlisted for the interview stage.
Shortlisted candidates are called for an interview, which carries a weightage of 50 marks. The interview assesses candidates’ communication skills, banking knowledge, and overall suitability for the role. The final merit list is prepared based solely on the interview scores.
Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in the local language of the state they have applied for. This can be proven by providing a 10th or 12th standard mark sheet/certificate indicating the study of the specific local language. As per the official SBI CBO notification 2025 PDF, application forms are invited from eligible Indian Citizens.
Graduation in any discipline from a recognised University or any equivalent qualification recognised as such by the Central Government, including Integrated Dual Degree (IDD). Candidates possessing qualifications such as Medical, Engineering, Chartered Accountant, and Cost Accountant would also be eligible.
Note: The date of passing the eligibility examination will be the date appearing on the mark sheet or provisional certificate issued by the University/ Institute. In case the result of a particular examination is posted on the website of the University/ Institute, a certificate issued by the appropriate authority of the University/ Institute, indicating the date on which the result was posted on the website, will be taken as the date of passing.
