RRB NTPC Short Notification 2025-26
Good news! The Ministry of Railways has officially approved 8,868 vacancies under the RRB NTPC Notification 2025-26. The short notification for RRB NTPC 2025-26, released on 29th September 2025. These vacancies will be notified through a Centralized Employment Notification (CEN) by the Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs). Aspirants of RRB NTPC have the golden opportunity to secure their jobs in Railways at Graduate-level and Undergraduate-level posts across different pay levels. The Indian Railways has released the RRB NTPC 2025 notification for graduate and undergraduate posts. The application for graduate posts (CEN 06/2025) starts on 21st October 2025 and ends on 20th November 2025. For undergraduate posts (CEN 07/2025), applications open on 28th October and close on 27th November 2025. A total of 8,868 vacancies are announced. Major posts include Station Master, Ticket Clerk, Goods Train Manager, and Typist. Eligible candidates must apply online only. Yes, the RRB NTPC Notification 2025–26 vacancies may change, just like in earlier Railway Recruitment notifications.
In past RRB recruitments (including NTPC, Group D, ALP, etc.), the initial vacancies published in the notification were later revised—sometimes increased, sometimes reduced. This usually happens due to:
Cadre restructuring in Indian Railways.
Administrative decisions regarding zone-wise requirements.
Merger or cancellation of posts due to technological changes.
Vacancy redistribution across categories (UR, OBC, SC, ST, EWS).
New posts created or old ones abolished before final recruitment stages.

In RRB NTPC 2019 Notification, vacancies were 35,277 initially, but they were revised to 35,208 later.
In some earlier notifications, like Group D and ALP, the vacancies were even increased after demand.
So, for RRB NTPC 2025–26, the final vacancies will be confirmed only after the official corrigendum or final notice from RRB.
