How to Calculate Your Marks? (Marking Scheme)

Calculating your raw score is the most important step right now. But you have to be very careful about the negative marking. Here is the official marking scheme for the RRB ALP CBT 1 exam:

  • Correct Answer: +1 Mark
  • Wrong Answer: -0.25 Marks (1/4th deducted)
  • Unattempted Question: 0 Marks

Formula to Calculate Score:

(Total Correct Answers) – (Total Wrong Answers × 0.25) = Your Raw Score

Let’s understand with a simple Example:

Suppose you attempted 70 questions in the exam.

  • Correct Answers: 60
  • Wrong Answers: 10

Calculation:

  • Marks for Correct Answers: 60 × 1 = 60 Marks
  • Negative Marks: 10 × 0.25 = 2.5 Marks
  • Final Raw Score: 60 – 2.5 = 57.5 Marks
