Para Jumbles SSC CHSL Tricks

Here, we have mentioned some tricks that will help you solve para jumble questions easily.

  • Find the Story Starter: Look for the sentence that introduces the main topic or person (by their full name) for the first time. It shouldn’t begin with linking words like ‘But,’ ‘He,’ or ‘Therefore.’ This is your opening sentence—your P, Q, R, or S!
  • The Noun-Pronoun Power: Nouns always come before pronouns. If one sentence names “Virat Kohli,” the next logical sentence will refer to him using “He” or “His.” Spot this mandatory pair (Noun -> Pronoun) to instantly eliminate wrong options.
  • Use the Connector Clue: Words like ‘However,’ ‘Therefore,’ ‘Also,’ and ‘But’ are huge hints! They always connect to a previous thought. For example, a sentence starting with ‘Therefore’ must follow the sentence that stated the ‘reason’ or ’cause.’
  • Watch the Clock (Time Sequence): If the sentences describe events, arrange them chronologically. Look for clues like years (2005 -> 2008), or sequence words like ‘First,’ ‘Next,’ and ‘Finally.’ The action must follow the time.
  • Test Your Answer’s Flow: Once you fix an order (say, QSRP), read the full, arranged paragraph in your mind. If it flows naturally, like a coherent newspaper article, your answer is almost certainly correct. Trust your reading instinct!
