Number arrangement is the most scoring topic in the reasoning section. With the simple tips given below, you can score good marks in the IBPS RRB Clerk 2025 exam.
Write numbers clearly in a line
This helps you view and compare them easily, especially when rearranging digits or checking positions.
Rearranging digits
If the question asks you to arrange digits in ascending/descending order within the number, handle one number at a time.
Example:
526 → Descending order → 652
218 → Ascending order → 129
For divisibility by 3, just add digits
If the sum of the digits is divisible by 3, then the whole number is also divisible by 3.
(Ex: 4+2+5 = 11 → Not divisible by 3)
Watch for digit positions
Always count from the left. Don’t mix up digit place and number position. They are different things.
Use elimination for options
For sum/difference questions, check the options first. Sometimes, it saves time instead of calculating every detail.
