Practice New Pattern DI Questions for IBPS Clerk Prelims 2025 with our free PDF.
Data Interpretation (DI) has always been a scoring yet tricky part of the Quantitative Aptitude section. Earlier, IBPS Clerk Prelims focused mainly on calculation-based DI, such as tables, bar graphs, and pie charts. However, this year we have noticed this in other exams like SBI Clerk: a new pattern of DI has started appearing, with questions that are about fast calculations and conceptual understanding. For example, in the SBI Clerk Prelims held on 20th September 2025 (2nd shift), a Caselet DI based on Mixture, Allegation, and Partnership was asked. Earlier, such Caselet DIs were mainly seen in Mains, but now they have started appearing in the Prelims exam as well, which clearly shows that the level of DI is going up and becoming more application-based. This means your clarity of Arithmetic concepts (like Partnership, Profit & Loss, Ratio, Time & Work, Mixture, etc.) will be tested along with your calculation speed.
If you haven’t gone through the Arithmetic topics or the concepts that form the base of Arithmetic yet, then don’t worry, you still have time. With around 15 days left for your IBPS Clerk Prelims, this is the perfect opportunity to focus on these chapters and build your fundamentals. Even a quick revision of important concepts like Ratio, Partnership, Average, Profit & Loss, and Time & Work can make a big difference. Remember, the new pattern DI is directly linked with these basics, and if you understand them well, you will be able to handle any caselet or arithmetic-based DI set with ease during the exam. So, make these last few days count and strengthen your base to boost your chances of scoring well in the Quant section. If your IBPS Clerk Prelims 2025 exam is on 4th, 5th, or 11th October, you must be ready for this new type of DI, because relying only on traditional practice will not be enough.
Change in trend: Examiners are no longer relying solely on percentage- or ratio-based DI; rather, they are combining arithmetic topics with DI.
Concept clarity test: Instead of lengthy calculations, the exam now tests your ability to apply concepts quickly.
Improved difficulty level: Although the Clerk level is easier than the PO level, a difficult DI can still trap students who only prepare for traditional sets.
Time management: Since understanding the new pattern DI can take extra time, practicing in advance ensures you don’t get stuck during the exam.
To nail the IBPS Clerk 2025 exam, candidates can boost their preparation with our study resources, such as mock tests, topic-wise tests, and mini mocks, to improve their accuracy and speed.

To prepare for IBPS Clerk Prelims 2025, focus on the following new types of DI sets:
Caselet DI: Paragraph-based DI where data is hidden inside a paragraph (e.g., Partnership, Average, Profit-Loss scenarios).
Double DI (Hybrid Sets): A Combination of two types, e.g., Table + Pie Chart or Line Graph + Bar Graph.
Missing Data DI: Some values are missing in the table/chart, and you have to derive them logically.
Calculation + Concept Mix DI: First, you need to apply formulas (like SI-CI difference, ratio in mixtures, etc.) and then solve DI-based questions.
Directions: Answer the questions based on the information given below.

As you know, the IBPS Clerk exam is starting from 4th October, and there is very little time left. If you really want to strengthen your DI section, make it a habit to practice 2–3 DI sets daily. After solving them, take a sectional mock test to test your speed and accuracy. This routine will help you build confidence and handle any type of DI in the actual exam.
These topics are now getting merged into DI sets.
Don’t just solve old-style DI. Instead, focus on caselets and concept-based DIs.
Even if the DI is concept-based, it still needs to be solved within a time limit. Learn short tricks and approximation methods for faster calculation.
In exam pressure, if a DI seems too lengthy, leave it and solve other easy questions first. Come back later if time permits.
The new pattern DI is no longer just about fast calculations—it’s about how well you understand Arithmetic basics and apply them under pressure. If you spend the next 10–15 days strengthening your concepts and practising mixed DI sets, you will walk into the exam hall with confidence. Candidates should also make it a habit to take 2–3 DI topic tests based on the new pattern every day, along with sectional mock tests, to build both speed and accuracy. Remember, mastering DI can give you a strong edge to clear the cutoff and secure your spot in the next round.
