So, I started my preparation in August 2020. I had some prior knowledge of banking subject at basic level. I started with mocks and gave as many as I could. I appeared in the below mentioned exams:

• SBI PO – CLEARED PRE
• IBPS PO – SELECTED IN BOI PO

Section-wise Preparation Strategy

English Section Preparation Strategy

My subject in graduation was English. So it really was not an issue, I had to deal with. Vocab is the ground which no matter how much you cover, will still be unexplored. So I didn’t give attention to vocabulary, although I regularly gave sectional mocks.

Quantitative Aptitude Section Preparation Strategy

Instead of learning short tricks, I focused on the classical ways to solve the sum. Although I did learn some short calculation trick plus my calculation was always a plus point for me as I was good at it. I gave several mocks and tried different approach to solve a problem.

Reasoning Section Preparation Strategy

Reasoning wasn’t my cup of tea. No matter how much I gave attention to me, I just couldn’t scored good in this section. So I focused on the topics which I was good at like syllogism and puzzles. If you are not good in one section, don’t worry, just focus on other two and make them you super strong sections.

General Awareness Section Preparation Strategy

I followed monthly digests of PracticeMock and oliveboard religiously. I focused mainly on last 4-5 month’s topic with special attention given to last 2-3 month’s topics

Mocks are really important for the preparation. I knew the importance of it and gave as many as I could. I knew that reasoning is not for me so I brushed up my other two sections. I identified my weak points through mock tests and tried to strengthen it. Analysis of mock test is a must. It was my first time so I wasn’t expecting that much but yeah these sort of examinations do create a pressure, which is inevitable. So I will suggest you to just do your job and there will be peace when you are done.
