4-Day LIC AAO Mains 2025 Revision Plan (25 Oct – 7 Nov)

Here’s a day-by-day guide that will help you revise strategically, balancing all sections without overburdening yourself.

Days 1–3 (25–27 Oct): Strengthen Your Core Concepts

Goal: Revisit high-weightage topics and build revision momentum.

Reasoning Ability

  • Focus on high-level puzzles (floor-based, circular, box arrangement, and uncertain seating).
  • Revise syllogism, blood relations, and machine input-output patterns.
  • Solve 2 reasoning sectional mocks daily.
  • Review the logic behind mistakes not just the wrong answers.

Data Interpretation & Quant

  • Revise arithmetic-based DIs ratio, percentage, profit & loss, and time-speed-distance-based caselets.
  • Practice table and pie-chart-based DIs for calculation improvement.
  • Learn short tricks for approximation and simplification (they indirectly help with DI speed).

Insurance & Financial Awareness

  • Revise insurance fundamentals types of policies, IRDAI structure, LIC’s key products, and latest reforms.
  • Study 6 months of insurance & financial current affairs (May–Oct 2025).

General Awareness

  • Go through monthly current affairs PDFs.
  • Revise government schemes, appointments, awards, RBI & SEBI updates.

Days 4–6 (28–30 Oct): Start Mock Test Phase

Goal: Assess your readiness through mocks & detailed analysis.

Quantitative Aptitude

  • Revise IRDAI notifications, FDI in insurance, and LIC-specific data.
  • Read about current financial market trends — repo rate, GDP, inflation, etc.

Descriptive English

  • Write 2 essays and 2 letters over these 3 days.
  • Topics to practice:
    • Essay: “The Role of Insurance in Financial Inclusion”, “Impact of Technology in Insurance Sector”.
    • Letter: “Letter to the Branch Manager regarding delay in claim settlement”, “Letter to the Editor about rising demand for term insurance.”

Days 10–12 (3–5 Nov): Light Revision + Quick Recap

Goal: Consolidate everything; focus on short notes and formulas.
