The eligibility criteria for the IOB Local Bank Officer 2025 consider 3 aspects, such as Nationality, Educational Qualification, Age limit, and relaxation in the upper age limit. The detailed eligibility criteria for the Indian Overseas Bank LBO 2025 are mentioned below.

IOB LBO 2025 Nationality

The candidates should satisfy any one of the Nationality criteria set by the bank as mentioned below.

• A citizen of India
• A subject of Nepal
• A subject of Bhutan
• A Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 to permanently settle in India or
• A Person of Indian Origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Bhutan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries, and Vietnam to permanently settle in India.

Indian Overseas Bank LBO 2025 Age Limit and Educational Qualification

The candidate should have completed their graduation before the date of online application, and the candidate has to mention the graduation date while registering online for the IOB LBO Exam 2025.

• The age limit for the candidates should fall between 20 and 30. The upper age limit mentioned here applies only to GEN and EWS categories. The candidates should have been born between 02/05/1995 and 01/05/2005. There is an upper age limit relaxation for SC/ST/PWD and other categories.

• The Educational Qualification for the IOB LBO Exam 2025 is a graduation degree (Bachelor’s) in any discipline from a recognized University. The candidates who have equivalent qualifications from a central government-recognized university are also eligible for the IOB LBO Exam.

IOB LBO 2025 Age Limit Relaxation

IOB LBO Salary 2025, Perks and Allowances

The basic pay for IOB LBO 2025 is Rs. 48,480 per month.

Probation Period:

Candidates selected will be on probation for a period of 2 years (active service) from the date of joining the Bank. Their confirmation in the Bank’s service will be as determined by the Bank in terms of the Officers’ Service Regulation (OSR).

Indemnity Bond:

Candidates selected for appointment will be required to execute a Financial Service Agreement Indemnity Bond for Rs 2,00,000/- (Rupees Two lakhs) for rendering service for a minimum period of 3 years.

The leave and travel allowance will be as per the Service Rules of the Bank applicable at the time of appointment.

Indian Overseas Bank LBO 2025 Selection Process

Selection will be made based on an Online Examination, followed by a Language Proficiency Test (LPT) and a Personal Interview. Candidates qualifying in the Online Examination would be called for the Language Proficiency Test (LPT), and candidates qualifying both the online exam and LPT will be called for a Personal Interview. In short, for the final selection, the applicants have to go through 3 stages:

The exam pattern for the IOB LBO Exam consists of 4 sections such as Reasoning and Computer Aptitude,  General Awareness, Data Analysis and Interpretation, and English Knowledge. A more detailed exam pattern for the IOB LBO exam 2025 is provided below.

Negative Marking: 1/4th of the marks allotted to the question will be deducted as a wrong answer penalty. (0.25 of the allotted marks will be deducted for a wrong answer.) If the question carries 2 marks, then 0.5 marks will be deducted for the wrong attempt.

Note the following important points listed below for the IOB LBO exam :

• The online examination will consist of 140 objective-type questions under 4 sections as mentioned above.
• The duration of the objective test will be 3 hours, with separate timing for each section.
• There will be sectional qualifying marks with 30% for reserved candidates and 35% for unreserved candidates.
• There shall be no penalty for an unattended question.

Indian Overseas Bank LBO Recruitment 2025 Language Proficiency Test

The following are the criteria for the Language Proficiency Test.

• The candidate must have Proficiency (reading, writing, and speaking) in the Local Language of the State applied for.

• Candidates shortlisted for the Personal Interview will be required to qualify the Language Proficiency test, failing which they will not be allowed to appear for the Personal Interview and thus their candidature will not be considered for further selection process.

• However, candidates who produce a 10th or 12th standard marksheet/ certificate evidence that they have studied the specified local language of the applied State as one of the subjects will not be required to undergo the language proficiency test.

IOB Local Bank Officers 2025 Personal Interview

Merit list of candidates based on the marks obtained by them in the online examination will be prepared in descending order for the respective categories, and they should have qualified in the LPT. Candidates securing minimum qualifying marks in the online examination & LPT (wherever applicable) shall be called for a Personal Interview. The minimum qualifying marks will be decided by the Bank.

IOB LBO 2025 Final Selection

The weightage ratio of the Online Exam and the Personal Interview will be in the ratio of 80:20, respectively. The combined final score of candidates shall be arrived at based on scores obtained by the candidates in the Online Examination and Personal Interview. Selection will be made from the top-ranked candidates in the merit list prepared on a state-wise and category-wise wise.

The online application process for the IOB LBO 2025 is mentioned below.

• Candidates are first required to go to the Bank’s website “www.iob.in” and click on the “Careers” Page to open the link “Recruitment of Local Bank Officers – 2025-26” and select the post to be applied then click on the Register Online link.
• Candidate must First Register Online by clicking “Click here to Register Online.”
• On successful registration, email and SMS will be sent to the candidates along with the Registration Number and Password for applying Online.
• Note the Unique Registration Number and Password for future reference.
• Candidates are required to upload their photograph and signature as per the specifications given in the Guidelines for Scanning and Upload of Photograph and Signature.

• Candidates will have to enter all the required details in the online application form.
• Candidates should fill in the details in the Online Application at the appropriate places very carefully. and click on the “COMPLETE REGISTRATION” button at the end of the Online Application form.
• The name of the candidate or his/her father/husband etc., should be spelt correctly in the application as it appears in the certificates/mark sheets.
• Candidates should take a printout of the system-generated submitted Online application form & save the printed application form for future reference.
• Candidates should upload the Left Thumb Impression and Handwritten Declaration under the Uploads menu.

IOB LBO 2025 Application Fee

The Application fee for IOB LBO exam 2025 for different categories is mentioned below:

SC/ ST/ PwBD = INR 175/-

GEN/ EWS/ OBC = INR 850/-

Payment by Online Mode:

• Candidates who have submitted the Online Application successfully may proceed with payment of intimation charges through Online Mode.
• The payment can be made using Debit Card/ Credit Card/ Internet Banking/ BHIM / UPI, etc.
• On successful completion of the transaction, an e-receipt will be generated.
• Candidates are required to take a printout of the e-receipt for future reference.

Credit History:

The candidate applying shall ensure that they maintain a healthy Credit history and shall have a minimum CIBIL score of 650 or above at the time of joining. The minimum credit score will be as per the Bank’s policy, amended from time to time.

• In addition to the above photograph, candidates will also be required to capture and upload their live photograph either by using a webcam or a mobile phone.
• On selecting the “Capture Photo” option, the candidates’ webcam will be activated, allowing them to click their picture, which will get auto uploaded in the application form.
• On selecting the “Click here to Scan” option, candidates can use their mobile phone to scan the QR code, which will redirect to a website, allowing them to click photographs on their mobile phone.
• On selecting the taken picture, the photograph will get auto uploaded in the application form.

Do’s:

• Ensure the photo is captured against a light coloured, preferably white background and there is adequate light.
• Look straight at the webcam/ camera.
• The photograph should be of passport size.

Don’ts
