Home » Banking & Insurance » In Today’s Scenario, which is better to join, RRB PO or IBPS PO?

Getting confused between RRB PO and IBPS PO is normal for banking aspirants. Both are prestigious officer-level jobs in the public banking sector and provide good opportunities for career growth. However, they differ in work environment, location, salary, promotion, and day-to-day responsibilities. In this blog, we will compare which is better, IBPS PO or RRB Clerk, and help you decide which one suits you best.

Overview of IBPS PO & RRB PO

The IBPS PO exam is conducted to recruit Probationary Officers in various public sector banks across India. On the other hand, the RRB PO exam, officially called Officer Scale-I, recruits Assistant Managers in Regional Rural Banks (RRBs). While IBPS PO postings are typically in urban or semi-urban branches, RRB POs are placed mostly in rural and semi-urban areas to handle regional banking needs.

Selection Process of IBPS PO & RRB PO

Both exams follow a multi-stage selection process, but there’s a key difference.

  • IBPS PO:

  • You want less pressure, limited targets, and a peaceful work environment.

Choose IBPS PO if:
