The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has released the revised exam calendar for 2025, scheduling the IBPS PO Prelims Exam on 17th, 23rd and 24th August 2025, and the Mains Exam on 12th October 2025. This shift from the earlier October-November timeline significantly reduces the preparation time, making a strategic and focused study plan essential. With approximately 60 days to prepare for the Prelims exam and a 50-day gap between the Prelims and Mains exam, candidates must optimise their time to cover the syllabus effectively. In this article, we are providing the IBPS PO revised study plan to cover all topics for the prelims and mains exams.
The IBPS PO exam, officially known as the Common Recruitment Process for Probationary Officers/Management Trainees (CRP PO/MT-XV), is a highly competitive exam conducted to recruit candidates for Probationary Officer posts in 11 public sector banks. The selection process comprises three stages:
With the revised dates, candidates have roughly 60 days (from mid-June to mid-August) to prepare for the Prelims, and about 50 days post-Prelims for Mains preparation. The compressed timeline demands a disciplined and efficient study plan focusing on the most scoring topics, regular practice, and strategic revision.
The IBPS revised calendar has been released on their official website on 16th June 2025. Prioritises the PO exam over others like IBPS RRB, with Prelims scheduled earlier in August. This shift reduces preparation time compared to previous cycles, where exams typically occurred in October-November. The 50-day gap between Prelims and Mains is also shorter, requiring simultaneous preparation for both stages from the outset. The IBPS PO 2025 Notification is expected to be released in June or July 2025.
This 60-day study plan is designed to cover the Prelims syllabus comprehensively while laying a foundation for Mains. It allocates time for learning, practice, revision, and mock tests, ensuring candidates are well-prepared for the August Prelims and can transition seamlessly to Mains preparation.
