NICL AO 1 Month Strategy: The National Insurance Company Limited is a public sector insurance company under the government of India and managed by the Ministry of Finance. The examination for the post of NICL AO is going to be held on 20th July. The last date to fill out the application form is the 3rd of July. The exam occurs for two categories, one is generalist and the other is specialist. As there is very little time left to prepare for the exam, you must have been thinking whether I will be able to crack the NICL AO exam in one month. Understanding the NICL AO Exam Pattern

The first thing to do before starting the preparation is to analyse the exam pattern, what trends the questions follow, and in how many stages or phases the exam is conducted. For the NICL AO Exam, it is conducted in two phases- the first is prelims, and the second is Mains + Descriptive test.

(ii) Descriptive Test: The descriptive Test of 30 Minutes duration with 30 marks will be a Test of English Language (Essay – 10 Marks, Précis – 10 & Comprehension – 10 marks). The descriptive test will be in English and will be conducted in online mode. 

The descriptive test will be qualifying in nature, and the marks scored in the Descriptive test will not be counted towards shortlisting for interview or final selection.

4-Week Strategy to Crack NICL AO

Split your month into four weekly goals, so that you can summarize the vast syllabus of the NICL AO in this short period.

Section-wise Preparation Tips

Here are some tips for each section, such as reasoning ability, quantitative aptitude, English comprehension, and general awareness, etc. 

Reasoning Ability

To ace the reasoning section, focus on puzzles and seating arrangements as these carry huge weightage and require a lot of practice. So, try to practice mixed questions based on puzzles, seating arrangement, syllogisms, and input-output at least for an hour daily. 

Quantitative Aptitude

To score maximum in the quants section, you need to focus on DI, arithmetic, simplification/approximation. One important tip revise squares, cubes, percentages, and ratios daily. 

English Language

To score well in the English section, read the editorial section of the newspaper and try to learn at least 10-15 new vocabulary words daily. 

General/Insurance Awareness

For the NICL AO exam, particularly, you have to learn insurance-related updates, terms, and policies. Apart from these, try to focus on the current affairs section and general awareness topics, which are also mentioned above.
