Delhi Police Constable Selection Process [3 Stages]

To recruit candidates, SSC follows a selection process that is designed to test a candidate’s abilities and physical fitness. The selection process for Delhi Police Constable posts consists of three stages. Those stages are provided below:

Stage 1: Delhi Police Constable Exam Pattern 2025 [CBE]

The first stage of the Delhi Police Constable selection process is a computer-based exam (CBE). Candidates who fill out the form and application selected will be eligible to appear in the exam. Stage 2: Physical Endurance & Measurement Test (PE&MT) Standards

Candidates who pass the Computer-Based Examination (CBE) will become eligible to appear for stage 2, which is the Physical Endurance & Measurement Test (PE&MT). It will be conducted by the Delhi Police only at venues in Delhi. This stage is qualifying in nature (no marks are awarded), but it is mandatory to get selected.

Physical Endurance and Measurement Test (PE&MT) Standards for Male Candidates

The Physical Endurance Test (PET) for male candidates, including ex-servicemen and departmental candidates, is conducted as per the age-wise standards given below:

  • Candidates must first qualify the Race to proceed to the Long Jump and then the High Jump.
  • Each candidate gets three chances to clear the Long Jump and High Jump.
  • No appeal is allowed against disqualification in the Race, Long Jump, or High Jump.

Standard of Physical Measurement for Male Candidates

The Physical Measurement Test (PMT) is conducted only for candidates who qualify for the Physical Endurance Test (PET). The required physical standards are:

PE\&MT Standards for Female Candidates (Race, Jump, Height)

The Physical Endurance Test (PET) standards for female candidates, including departmental candidates, are as follows:

Appeal Process– Candidates declared unqualified in physical standards (height and chest) can appeal on the same day through the Presiding Officer to the Appellate Authority.
– The Appellate Authority’s decision is final; no further appeal or representation will be entertained.
– No appeals are allowed for Physical Endurance Test results.
Conduct and Responsibility– PE&MT and Medical Examination are solely conducted by Delhi Police.
– SSC will not entertain any representation, appeal, RTI applications, or complaints (CPGRAMs) against decisions of PE&MT or Medical Examination.
