For that, we have provided a preparation strategy that will help you cover the whole syllabus systematically and effectively. To make it simple, we have divided the preparation strategy into 3 parts. 1st part will help you build concepts and foundation, 2nd part will help you know how to practice and improve speed, and last but the most important 3rd part will help you boost your preparation with revision and practicing mock tests. Let’s start with the 1st part.

Part 1: Building Concepts & Foundations

Before starting to follow part 1, make sure you have gone through the syllabus that we have provided above. In Part 1, your main goal should be to build concepts and strengthen your foundation. Your goal is to clear the concepts by understanding the basic concepts and practicing basic-level questions.

• Learn One Topic at a Time: Instead of focusing on a lot of topics, you should focus on one topic at a time. You can start with the foundational topics like Number System, Simplification, and Percentages. Dedicate a day to one topic. First, understand the concept and learn the formulas, then solve 15-20 basic-level questions so that you can get an in-depth level understanding.
• Memorize the Basics: This is non-negotiable. Learn tables up to 40, squares up to 40, and cubes up to 30. This will help you solve the problems quickly; you will not be required to do small calculations on a rough sheet.
• Use One Good Book: For Delhi Police Constable Numerical Ability, you can refer to books like R.S. Aggarwal’s “Quantitative Aptitude for Competitive Examinations” or Kiran’s Chapter-wise Mathematics Book (based on the SSC pattern).
