Changes in RBI Grade B Application Form (2025)

This year RBI has made some changes to make the process stricter and safer. These changes are meant to reduce mistakes and prevent fraud.

  • Live Photo Capture: You now need to capture a live photo through webcam or QR code. Uploading old or unclear images is not allowed.
  • Edit Window: A 2-day edit option has been introduced. With a fee of ₹200, you can change limited fields like exam centre, medium of exam, parent names, and 10th/12th percentages.
  • Scribe Details: Candidates who use scribes must enter complete scribe details like name, qualification, and ID. Wrong info can invite penalties.
  • Disability Certificate Upload: PwBD candidates must upload their disability certificate or UDID card while applying. Without this, the form will not be accepted.
  • DigiLocker Integration: You can now provide Aadhaar and documents voluntarily through DigiLocker. This reduces errors and saves time.
  • Education Percentages: Exact marks must be entered as in your marksheet. No rounding off. Wrong entries will lead to disqualification.
  • Govt Employees: Those working in Govt/PSUs must declare service status and produce NOC at the interview stage.

These may look like small changes, but they are very important. If you want to know the complete application steps, you can check RBI Grade B Apply Online 2025, where I’ve explained the full process in detail.

What After Filling Out the Application Form?

Submitting the online application form is only the start. The real challenge starts after that. Once you are done, start your preparation immediately. Don’t waste even a single day.

Phase 1 exam for Grade B General is on 18th October 2025. Phase 1 for DEPR/DSIM is on 19th October 2025. Phase 2 for General is on 6th December 2025, and Phase 2 for DEPR/DSIM is on 7th December 2025. That means you will get only about 48 days between Phase 1 and Phase 2. And Phase 2 is tougher than Phase 1.

So, start preparing for both together. Cover your basics for Phase 1, but also practice descriptive writing and Phase 2 topics daily. Don’t leave it for later.

The changes in the RBI Grade B application form 2025 show that RBI wants a cleaner and stricter process. Don’t make small mistakes. Fill every detail carefully, upload documents as per size and format, and pay fees on time. Once done, shift all your focus to preparation. With less than 40 days left for Phase 1, the time is short. But with discipline, mocks, and revision, you can still make it.
