3. Marriage and Siblings: Use a double line (=) between husband and wife. Use a single line (-) between brothers and sisters.

1. Pointing or Indicating Form: Where someone points to a photo and tells a relation.

Logic: “Only daughter of my mother” means Rahul’s sister. So, the woman is the daughter of Rahul’s sister. This makes Rahul her maternal uncle or Mama.

5 Simple Tips to Prepare Blood Relations for SSC MTS

You do not need to be a genius to solve these questions. Just keep a cool head and follow these 5 easy tips:

1. Never Guess Gender by Name: Just because a name is “Kiran” or “Sonu”, do not assume they are male or female. Always look for words like “brother,” “sister,” “his,” or “her” to confirm the gender.
2. Draw the Family Tree: Never try to solve family puzzles in your head. Always draw the tree on your rough sheet. Put older generations on top and use plus (+) for males and minus (-) for females.
3. Break Down Pointing Questions: For questions starting with “Pointing to a man…”, break the sentence at the word “my”. Solve the speaker’s side first, and then connect it to the person they are pointing at.
