The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS<\/strong>) conducts the exam for the Regional Rural Banks (RRB) Officer Scale I, commonly known as RRB PO<\/strong>. To land this job, you must master the detailed syllabus across two main stages: Prelims<\/strong> and Mains<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Phase I: RRB PO Prelims Syllabus<\/strong> \u23f1\ufe0f<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Preliminary exam is the first step and focuses only on speed<\/strong> and basic analytical skills<\/strong>. It has only two sections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Phase II: RRB PO Mains Syllabus<\/strong> \ud83e\udde0<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Mains exam is tougher and includes five sections. It tests not just your analytical ability but also your general and financial knowledge. The marks from the Mains exam are counted for the final selection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. General Awareness<\/strong><\/td>Focus on Current Affairs<\/strong> (last 5-6 months), Banking & Financial Awareness<\/strong> (RBI, Banking Terms, Monetary Policy, Schemes), and Static GK<\/strong> (Capital, Currency, National Parks, etc.).<\/td><\/tr>
4. English\/Hindi Language<\/strong><\/td>Reading Comprehension<\/strong>, Cloze Test<\/strong>, Para Jumbles<\/strong>, Error Spotting<\/strong>, Fill in the Blanks<\/strong>, and Vocabulary<\/strong> (Synonyms\/Antonyms). (Candidates choose one<\/strong> language to attempt).<\/td><\/tr>
5. Computer Knowledge<\/strong><\/td>Computer Fundamentals<\/strong> (History, Generations), Hardware & Software<\/strong>, MS Office<\/strong> (Word, Excel, PPT), Networking<\/strong>, Internet<\/strong> (Protocols, E-mail), and Cyber Security Basics<\/strong>.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Important Note:<\/strong> There is a negative marking<\/strong> of 0.25 marks for every incorrect answer in both the Prelims and Mains exams.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
