It\u2019s baffling how quickly tables have turned here.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As the news came in this morning, the Finance Ministry has decided to put the IBPS Clerk exam on hold due to an emerging controversy.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.practicemock.com\/signup\/?refcode=2268&amp;utm_source=Blog_Is%20IBPS%20Clerk%202021%20Cancelled%20by%20Finance%20Ministry%3F%20IBPS%20Removes%20Notification%20from%20Website_140721_IBPSCL&amp;utm_medium=Link&amp;utm_campaign=IBPSCL\"><strong>Sign up to Take a Free Mock Test of IBPS Clerk 2021 Prelims- Will be available Shortl<\/strong>y<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why did Finance Ministry step in the first place?&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The issue arose from the fact that the IBPS, the examination conducting body, had released the advertisement for IBPS clerk examinations only in two languages, i.e., English and Hindi. This particular detail became an issue because India recognizes 22 languages as per the Constitution of India.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The reason behind IBPS\u2019 decision to come into the political limelight is because of the statements made by the Union Finance Minister in 2019. The\u00a0honorable\u00a0minister had announced and assured that banking exams will be held in local languages as well. However, the IBPS notification released some days back doesn\u2019t communicate the same.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.practicemock.com\/signup\/?refcode=2268&amp;utm_source=Blog_Is%20IBPS%20Clerk%202021%20Cancelled%20by%20Finance%20Ministry%3F%20IBPS%20Removes%20Notification%20from%20Website_140721_IBPSCL&amp;utm_medium=Link&amp;utm_campaign=IBPSCL\"><strong>Sign up to Take a Free Mock Test of IBPS Clerk 2021 Prelims- Will be available Shortl<\/strong>y<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To further clarify the statement made by the finance ministry, it was made in the context of Regional Rural Bank examinations (RRB.)&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The idea was to provide an equal medium and opportunity or level playing field for the youth. But, unfortunately, many candidates from regional and rural areas aren\u2019t able to participate in such exams because of the language barrier.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2019, the government decided to recruit Office Assistant and Officer Scale I in RRBs. The decision declared that the exam would be conducted in 13 regional languages, including Konkani and Kannada, besides English and Hindi. A report is being expected to be submitted within the next 15 days, which will have the recommendations to resolve the issues at hand. This information came out as per the official statement made by the Finance Ministry.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Can students still apply for the IBPS Clerk exam in these 15 days?&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The aspirants will have to wait for the final decision made by the concerned ministry. The IBPS has a history for conducting exams for regional rural banks and to ot include regional languages might not go in their favour. However, it will be committee&#8217;s report which will decide wether IBPS will include new regional languages in their notification. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the mean time, aspirants hould keep preparing for the exams if they interested. Such incidents do not pose threats over the termination of exam.
