The SSC JE vacancies are announced by the commission after the completion of the paper-I exam. The number of vacancies may vary depending on the availability of posts and the preferences of the candidates. The SSC JE vacancies are divided into two groups: Group A and Group B. Group A consists of posts in Central Water Commission (CWC) and Central Public Works Department (CPWD), while Group B consists of posts in Border Roads Organization (BRO), Military Engineering Services (MES), Farakka Barrage Project, National Technical Research Organization (NTRO) and other ministries or departments. The candidates who qualify the paper-I and paper-II exams are allotted to the posts based on their merit, preference and eligibility criteria.
