The candidates who get selected for the clerical position have to undergo a probation period of at least six months. However, based on the candidate\u2019s performance, that period can be extended. State Bank of India, and almost all the public sector, conducts internal Exams for the employees (clerks and others) who want promotion every two years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eligibility for the Internal Exam<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

An employee can take the internal test for promotion only after serving the Bank for at least three years. In addition, he\/she will have to face an interview and a written Exam and will become a TO or Trainee Officer for a period of two years. After completing two years of the probation period, he\/she will be recruited as MMGS-II or Middle Management Grade Scale-II Cadre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

State Bank of India (SBI) releases a recruitment notification for 2000 plus vacancies every year. It becomes a golden opportunity for those candidates who have already cleared the SBI Clerk exam. The general category aspirants must keep in mind that there is a restriction on the number of attempts for the SBI PO Exam. As per the experts, a candidate can take the SBI PO only four times.
